Foreign Languages in Spaceship Earth

I'm curious to know if anyone has attempted to translate the various foreign languages that are spoken during the course of the Spaceship Earth ride. I'm talking about the Greek scene, the Roman scene, the Islamic scholar scene, the Egyptians, etc. etc.

I'm just interested to know what, if anything, they are saying or if it is just random words put together.

If you're like me and you've ridden this ride hundreds, if not thousands, of times, you have probably wondered the same thing.

just some info

Apparently, in the Greek theatre scene, the actors are performing Sophocles' Oedipus Rex.

The Egyptian pharaoh is dictating a message to be recorded and transmitted across the Nile valley. Not sure what message it is, but I'd bet it's a real message that one could read in a museum or online. (e.g. Perhaps the text from the Rosetta Stone.)

Unfortunately on my last trip to WDW in early December 2009, I rode Spaceship Earth and listened to the ride in French.

Although I am not super fluent in French, the ride in another language was enjoyable. The touch screen directions were also in French and I pretty much understood everything that flashed on the screen.

This experience added to my extended visits to the France pavillion. I had a blast ordering "en Fracais" as well as conversing with the cast members.

Tehe I freauently ride in German, French and Spanish it is quite fun, starting to remember them as much as the English, not bad for some one that can't speak thouse languages. :d

Probably not anymore. The theater scene is now the mathematics scene, in all likelihood they changed it, but there's no way of knowing for sure (unless you happen to know Ancient Greek).

Wow! Great info. That script is a great read, thanks for sharing. This is the kind of info and insight I'm talking about in my original question.

I'm guessing it's something tangible as well. Given the attention to detail and history of the Imagineering of things even to the tiniest, most specific, detail, I can't imagine something as notable and noticeable as this would go without the same level of attention and detail as everything else.

Ive often wondered this myself! The actual dialog separate from the narration (where it exists) would be awesome to hear! The subtle changes in music for each scene is interesting too.
