For those who have made GF home...

Hey All!

My DH and I have stayed at the GF for our honeymoon and are going back for a week for our 5 year Anniversary this year! Yippee!! We were only there for a couple of nights and didn't really explore the resort.

I've done loads of research on the GF but one thing is missing...there are loads of buidlings and rooms. Which ones were your faves? What do you recommend? Do you have pics??

Congratulations on your anniversary. My DH and I had our honeymoon there, too! We were lucky enough to stay there once again a few years ago, this time with our two kids. I can't remember any of the building names, but I don't think you can go wrong! Our second trip we stayed between the marina and the monorail, and it was nice. We could watch the monorail go by, and had a short walk to the quick-service restaurant. Enjoy!

Thanks!! I would think it is best to stay near the mail building - but then does that pull you further away from the lagoon and view of MK?

I don't remember the name of the building I stayed in but it was on the lagoon facing the Poly and we loved sitting out there and enjoying the view! I'm sure there are pros and cons to all the buildings but like someone said, it's hard to go wrong there :wave:

Both times I've stayed there, we were in Sago Cay. It was close enough to the main building and a short walk to the bus stops as well.

From this map - where do you see the castle? From what I remember - and it's been awhile and I haven't had my coffee yet :lol: - you can see it from "3" - is that correct? So I would assume there are some rooms that you can see if from 5 and 7 - can you see if from building 6? I think that is where we stayed last time. And we had a room with a balcony - and we could see the monorail.

It's kind of like if you follow the line straight from Captain's Shipyard Marina...it's back there
