For all those September folks that booked flights with Southwest

Just checked my flight to see if it went down and woo hooo for us it did...A whole $360.00 !How great is that!!!! We got a credit which we'll be using for a trip in April so we will definatly be using it!!!!! Thought I'd let you all know!!!Maybe yours went down as well!

great news for you ..... just booked my southwest flight home from Orlando in November for $49 each ..... the trip down is only $80 ..... really can't beat that:sohappy:

Yup, you get a credit that's good for 12 months. Just keep your original confirmation number and you can enter that into the payment page.

If memory serves, I think you can also use your credit towards flights for people other than just you. I'm *pretty* sure we did this with a credit we had when we flew down in January '09 to take care of a good portion of my brother's ticket. Does that sound right? Am I remembering that wrong?

No credit for me. :( Arrival flight went up $10 & return remained the same. I guess I'll keep checking daily for changes but as of now I got $118 from PHL to MCO & $99 for the return. Can't really complain, they're still decent prices.

You can do it for other people. You have to use your name on the page you enter the flight info then the persons name on the next.

The price IS set when you book, but since Southwest is awesome and doesn't have change fees, you can cancel your original flight while you are booking your new flight. I believe the credit is good for one year after your original flight was going to take off. I heart Southwest.

There's no deals from California to Orlando like the one you guys are getting out East.

Well if it was a web only deal you need to do it through the internet , I believe or they walk you through it , especailly if its your first time doing it. after that you can do it yourself , but if its not a web only deal I think you need to call Customer Service...I'd call anyway though, can't hurt..But be prepared , the last time I called (and please don't bash me) I could not understand a word the woman was saying....extreamly thick accent and not a southern one....I ended up calling a friend and she walked me through it....
