food poisoning at Disney?

Last year we got to Disney on Sunday night, ate pizza at Pizzeria Uno, Monday the woman had a salad for lunch and a salad for dinner at Disney, Monday night she was in the bathroom until Thursday evening, we left Disney on Friday morning, so the trip was a wash, and since everything was paid for and non-refundable (especially the hotel room) we just made the best of it. Didn't contact Disney though, maybe we should have. By the way I never eat salad for that very reason, never know when you'll get something bad in it versus a meal that just came off of a stove top or oven at 350-400 degrees for 20 minutes, lol.

So far, all of our trips to WDW have been food related event free. Disney does an exceptional job with food safety as it relates to the amount of people they serve on any given day. I think that with so many people touching so many surfaces that one is bound to pick up some type of bug. A couple of years ago we were standing in line at The Magic Carpets of Aladdin when the child standing in front of us (10 year old) kept digging around inside the seat of his shorts:hurl:. When his hand emerged the first thing he did was to hang on the railings. Talk about a simple way to pick up E. Coli and thus transfer the germs to your sandwich, chicken nuggets, etc. when one goes to eat!! Take hand sanitizer and use frequently!!!:animwink:

The OP is my cousin. That happened to them at Goofy's Kitchen at Disneyland. They're stationed/live not far from DL. We've talked about that occurrence a few times. I don't think they were in parks prior to the meal. They went to DL to have dinner which wasn't uncommon for them, particularly before they became parents to micro-preemie twins a year or so later. Come to think of it, I don't think they've been back to Goofy's Kitchen since....
