Folding chairs

We have a couple of those folding chairs that go in a bag and we planned on taking those on our next trip so we could get a good view of the fireworks. Basically, set up camp right in front of the iron gate, as opposed to sitting on the benches only to have some clown come and stand right in front of us and block our view. However, someone in another thread said that he doesn't think such chairs are allowed in the park. Is this true?

I've seen the ones that can fold up to look like a cane, but typically folding chairs aren't allowed.

Ya, the ones I'm talking about aren't the typical fold up lawn chairs that you might be thinking of. I'm talking about those "bag" chairs. The four legs all collapse in together and the chair compresses down into a cylinder shape and it goes in a cylinder shape bag with a shoulder strap on it. You sling it over your shoulder and it carries very easily and doesn't take up much more space than a backpack. You can find them in the sporting goods and lawn and garden sections at walmart.

I know the chairs you're talking about, but I've never seen anyone using them in the parks....

If anyone reads this who is going anytime soon, can you PM me or post back in this thread if you see anyone with those chairs? Thanks.

I don't think they're allowed. Also even if you could use them, inevitably SOMEONE will stand in front of you with these chairs also. :brick:

I often tried to get my queen size air bed in... They didn't allow it...

Haven't tried the folding chairs yet... :lookaroun

I have seen many people use folding chairs. They keep them in a locker and only bring them out for the parade, then put them back. I haven't seen a CM say anything about it.

The only kind of "chiars" that I know of are Wheel chairs and charis for people with disabilities, I really dont think they will let you in the parks with chairs. They might take them and hold them till you leave if they do that. I do not know if you have ever seen people walking around the parks with a cane and it has a built in seat so they can unfold it and sit if they need to. thats the only thing i can think of..

So next time I'll hide the air bed inside a wheelchair... Good thinking! Thanks! :D

What about a Lazy-boy Chair? Can I just take mine in? It has the heat and message feature, plus a nifty little can holder. This makes a lot of sense because fireworks are in the air and I can just kickback and watch from my chair.:p
