I will have a solo day in Disney during my trip next month and was thinking of trying out Flying Fish for a solo meal. I had been reading that it is a pretty good place to dine solo, but I thought I would come here to see what the opinion of the forums is.

We have eaten there twice and very different experences. Last year we choose to just eat at the bar. Service was good. Going solo i think that is what i would do...that way you dont need ADR!!!! Enjoy!!!

The staff at FF is wonderful (not to mention the food)... very friendly and accommodating. Ask to be seated at the chef's counter. You can interact with them and probably converse with anyone else sitting near you, and you won't feel alone.

i'd do the bar too. love the food there. have been three times now and never a bad experience. oh and bob the waiter is the best. great service, great personality...the type of person who can make you feel like they're the host and you're dining in someones home.

I actually decided to really treat myself for the night and go for the newer Chef's Counter wine tasting dinner. It's a bit pricey, but I figured why not enjoy something for my free night before the family gets there.
