Is anyone really surprised? Youtube sometimes wants me to watch his stuff after a couple second watching him....I can't go on watching it.

I liked his podcasts bc of his rants. He called out Disney when need be. But your def right about the staff just disappearing. It always seemed odd when they’d leave and no mention was ever made. I lurked on the Dis boards a little and the moderators would never allow discussion about personnel changes. They would shut it down quick. Looking back at the podcast videos, you can see how some of the staff were always on edge and even fearful at times. Not a good environment, at least it doesn’t seem.

I stopped watching most videos with Pete a while ago when I kept noticing strange things with Moving to Orlando - Eric Gross, then Sean, etc. So my noseyness led me to Google and the results about the old Gossip Guru. I never created an account there or the follow up Tattle site but I did keep up with it. I didn't like all of the negativity and attacks on strangers but sometimes a version of the truth would come out about an event. So I'm not surprised about Pete but I still am totally shocked, if that makes sense. I'm so sorry for everything his victims experienced and I'm sure more stories will be coming out after they have all had time to process. I've worked in an emotionally/verbally abusive toxic environment with a gaslighting manager (with no one above him but a distant BoD) so I understand how easy they can get into your head without you even knowing they're there - and they can totally contaminate your sense of self, worth, abilities, sanity, etc. I hope everything is okay with Craig and Ryno because they were always my favorite.

Drugging and sexual assault, bullying and manipulation of younger males on his team.

He deserved all he gets and I dont think the Dis can recover from this. It need to be shut down because while only 2 people have come forward so far about being abused, there are others who knew what he was like and didn't do anything. I also can't avoid the fact that he was married to John and was co-owners with him, yet he is making himself out as a victim.

I have to admit I enjoyed the podcasts for a while but found it odd that there was such a high rate of turnover. I also could never get the past the fact that Pete would repeat himself when he wanted to make a point just like the character in “Goodfellas” who said, “get the papers, get the papers”, lol. Pete really always seemed like a pompous egotist to me name dropping Josh D’Amaro all the time.

John is Married to Kevin, not Pete. Pete and John were partners, but never married. Their relationship ended many years before gay marriage was legalized.

I think what Pete is being accused of is horrible, no doubt about it, but the DIS company is moving forward and ties to Pete are being cut so I don't think the whole DIS needs to be shut down. IF PW isn't involved anymore there is no reason why the company can't regroup and move forward. If others in the company knew what was going on and didn't say anything, I don't know, if they say they didn't know well I guess that's it. People like PW can be like a Jekyll and Hyde and mask their true selves very well even from people close to them, so if people claim not to know what PW was like or what was going on that is entirely possible.

I don't blame the workers like Ryno, Craig, Deni, etc because they have no control over the toxic workplace created by Pete except leave. However, I do put the responsibility on John - he was an equal, co owner, former partner, etc. He could've, and should've, done more. Pete was the sole owner of The Dis but was co-owner of Dreams Unlimited. But, like you, I don't know how they can bounce back from this. If they remove every video that includes Pete, then they lose years of catalogue, and will have to start over from scratch. Will The Dis even have the money to pay for staff after the Amex lawsuit is concluded?

i forgot who pete werner was & had to google him after reading some of these comments. i wasn’t a big fan of his channel, but did enjoy some of his restaurant reviews. i found them helpful & informative. otherwise i’m surprised to hear the stories & allegations against him. if proven, he deserves whatever he gets. goes to show how people are when they’re not on camera, be it a youtuber or celebrity.

Same, I really enjoyed the dis shows, especially the DCL ones. He’s opinionated but who in the Disney fan world isn’t? He’s talked a lot about relapse and counseling so I knew he had some issues but I’d never have guessed anything like he’s being accused of. Just goes to show you never really know people unless you actually know them.
