So Disney is keeping the rotting tents. And people are saying they aren't cutting corners on this?

If the princesses are moving to Fairytale Hall what will be going in the tents? Will they still be M & Gs but with different characters?

So my understanding was the tents are being torn down totally... bummer on the Pooh M&G.

Regarding the upgrades with Dumbo, let's not forget that Disney is planning to premier Dumbo on Broadway sometime in 2011! Or 2012 maybe?

Does anyone know why all these budget cuts happened in the first place? I know the economy isn't doing good but I was just wondering what the definite reason was. And was there anything added that hasn't been announced that will blow our minds? lol.

There aren't budget cuts - it's just re-purposing the money.
Pixie Hollow got axed which freed up money to be spent on Project X since Project X costs more than what was originally planned (Cindy/Aurora M&G).

Juan, Project X is the Snow White Mine Ride right? And do you know when we'll hear an official announcement on this?

Not a clue of a date

As for Project X -- that's just what I call what is going in the Cindy/Aurora area
I'm not allowed to explicitly say what "it" is
Look to the rest of the many many threads (heck, even last page) as to what "it" is.

By all means, they're cutting corners. But the money saved by cutting these corners will go to the construction of a nice D ticket attraction.

A reasonable trade off, if you ask me. I'd rather keep the tents and have a nice new ride than have a Pixie meet and greet and no ride.

I'm guessing (GUESSING) an announcement will come sooner rather than later, because all references to Cindy/Aurora have been removed from FLE documents, and Entertainment has been told point-blank that the houses aren't happening.

But WDI is keeping this project as quiet as they can.

Still supposedly new tents, though, as the current ones leak.

Remember these arent budget cuts, i cant recall the name now, but whoever is in charge of the expansion announced that taking away pixie hollow/princess houses wasn't because there was less money available. He actually stated that the price of the project would increase, so to me that was a good sign.

ok so....Beauty and the Beast and Little Mermaid is completely happening with no increase funds to both of them and no decrease. It's happening as is.

Project X = Snow White Mine Ride got an increase in funds which cut Pixie Hollow so it could happen.

The rest of FLE is all happening as is right?

I'm just making sure I got this all correct.

There has been no official recognition that Pixie Hollow has been cut. The information in your post is just what our insiders here on WDWMagic have been saying.

Dumbo Question

First of all... Happy New Year everyone!!!!!!

Everybody agrees in some point that Dumbo is a very popular attraction. I also agree.

Here is a simple question: Is Dumbo moving inside or remain in "open air"?

If it goes in doors, I may be wrong and get flamed, but if you move Dumbo in doors you will kill the attraction. Actually if any overhead is added it will be a issue.

Any thought?

If the concept art on Dumbo is still being used than Dumbo will be outdoors. It would be interesting riding it and seeing the FLE on it. Maybe a picture of Cinderella, Belle and Ariel's castle will be possible. =)

I'm actually concerned that simply moving it may take away some of the allure of the attraction. Don't get me wrong, theming wise, its current location makes no sense and I'm happy to see it moved to give us FLE. But... I wonder if a lot of the allure of Dumbo isn't its location right in the hustle and bustle of it all with the castle back drop. Once you take that away, it is just a simple spinner ride no different than the magic carpets. I don't think children have any magic connection to Dumbo. Most haven't even seen Dumbo whereas more probably have seen Aladdin. Time will tell, of course.
