Hi! I have a few questions about the FLE.

1. What is going where Pixie Hollow was gonna be? Insiders are pointing toward the Snow White Mine car dark ride/mini roller coaster.
2. Where exactly is the new Double Dumbo gonna go? I am not 100% positive but I think it will be going roughly where Mickey and Minnie's house currently reside.
3. Is Snow White closing for sure?According to those in the know yes.

Thanks alot!:)

1. Part of the new Circus-themed area will occupy what was to be Pixie Hollow.
The mine ride will be further west, where Cinderella and Aurora were planning to move in.

2. Dumbo is going to back up to the Speedway, next to Barnstormer, facing north-ish. The queue for Dumbo will sit in that little nook you can see in arial photos.

3. Snow White looks to be a goner. Wave goodbye and wish it well.

I'm hoping Tangled gets some attention too, but maybe where PH was going to go instead of replacing an attraction.

It seems to be a success. Can any movie gross experts weigh in?

There is no "circus land" per se. The design is simply to take the huge popularity of the Dumbo attraction, which for the most part is considered a Disney classic, and give it it's own corner. This will open up the walkway for the FLE and lend itself to a little NexGen application for the queue. The ride may be very simple compared to other classics, but it is without question, always busy. So they will relocate and actually implement duel Dumbos in the new area. That area will be themed according to the Dumbo movie which is the Circus. So the new queue concept will be implemented ala a new circus tent themed building with new activities while-you-wait.

I wouldn't count on any Tangled attractions. Though it was a good film, there are a lot of Disney & Pixar movies that are much more important franchises to Disney.

Im cool with this, but it just seems that peoples problems with it are that it was shown to us as enough space to hold two seperate areas ( Dumbo and Pixie Hollow ). They've supposedly cut out Pixie Hollow and the whole area is now for Dumbo, yet we haven't heard of any additions to the Dumbo area so that they can fill in what was formerly Pixie Hollow. The only thing that has been said is that the big ugly tents that are already there are most likely staying, which I think everyone agrees is the worst case scenario. If my options are a whole new area themed to Pixie Hollow or another merchandise shop selling the same merchandise I can get on the shops on Main Street USA, using the same old tents, then Im definitely choosing a new, themed area. I guess we'll soon eventually what was decided upon.

remember, it's all about the $$$

add one thing, cut something else

just because things may look bad at the moment, doesn't mean they will look the same years down the road when more $$$ is available

Just wondering, what has been cut from the project since it has been announced?

Is it possible that the Cinderella and Aurora meet and greets would later be brought out? Since the back part of Dumbo isn't permanent. And another question, are they thinking of what to put there in the meantime that the dumbo circus stuff will be there?

The increase in $$ for Project X means that PH got cut and replaced with (cheaper and semi temporary) Plan B

Project X = Snow White Mine Ride?
and I'm sorry what is PH? and what's Plan B?

Sorry for not knowing all this. lol.

Here's my view. Tangled is doing great. It really is. So far it has made over $143 million at the box office in five weeks. That domestic number is more then BatB grossed on its run in 1991/1992, which was about $146 million. Now of course Tangled is playing on more screens then BatB was shown on and it also has higher priced 3D tickets going with it, which BatB didn't have either. But BatB also didn't open a week after Potter and before Narnia, Tron and Yogi. It's also worth noting that BatB never once finished in first place for a weekend at the box office. It's opening weekend it grossed just over $9 million. Finishing 3rd behind Addams Family and Cape Fear. The highest it ever got was second place in its 7th week; finishing behind Hook and just beating out Father of the Bride. Obviously the film had legs and grossed a great amount over the long haul. Aladdin also never finished first in any weekend at the box office. It made $19 million in second place behind Home Alone 2 on its opening weekend. It went on to gross $217 million domestically. Again, it didn't have 3D and played on half the screens Tangled is being shown on. But it shows Tangled is bringing in the money just like the classics.

Comparing it to Pixar films obviously is a different story. Their films have out performed Tangled in terms of money from Toy Story 2 to Toy Story 3 while playing on the same amount of screens and with 3D with their recent releases. But I believe that those high numbers are the result of the public confidence in Pixar. Everyone looks forward to seeing what Pixar is going to do next because Pixar has a reputation of making good movies. And that's why everyone wants to go see them. That's what WDAS is striving for. I think that they cant just sell their movies by telling people we made BatB, Aladdin, and Lion King. The public cares about what you've done recently. And in the case of Walt Disney Animation Studios, they've had mostly mediocre films since Tarzan. Bolt and PatF were steps in the right direction. Tangled was a bigger step. Pooh, Reboot Ralph and King of the Elves are going to be the films to watch and see how WDAS measures up to Pixar.

So to sum it all up, Tangled is doing well. Given its competition and WDAS's recent reputation. Reviews are positive. If you check out Rotten Tomatoes, you'll see that 90% of the "Audience"(not critics) like the film. With a 4.2 rating out of 5. That rating is better then Bolt and PatF, which score 3.7 out of 5. WALL-E and How To Train Your Dragon are also listed at 4.2. Aladdin and BatB both rank 3.7 for the record. I AM NOT SAYING THAT TANGLED IS BETTER THEN ALADDIN AND BATB. Those are just ratings from RT users. I think those films are much better. But I do believe that Tangled does deserve an attraction and could be labeled as a classic someday.

The gross numbers are from box office mojo.

Agreed. I haven't seen or heard about any plans indicating the whole area was Dumbo. It sounded as if the Dumbo plans were a go so they could free up the space it currently holds, adding to that empty center we here is slated for the "mine ride". I thought the idea of Pixie Hollow was reasonable for both girls and boys if they took a similar approach to the Bug's Life area in Cali. Sounded fun to me. Of course, nothing indicates that to keep with the theme, they aren't removing Toon Town and leaving a fair amount of empty space while they plan the filler. So far, until we get absolutes on the mine and the existing tents, they seem to have a few reasonable sized plots laying empty. Not a bad thing when we've had hints dropped about potentials but no official word. If we're lucky, it's a way for them to slow the spending, by dragging out a few of the smaller projects.
