WHAAAT? HOWWW? I ALWAYS EXPERIENCE FLASH PHOTOGRAPHY ON THOSE RIDES! :) Tell me your secrets! How do I go on that ride without annoying tourists? ;)
No clue. I guess I'm fortunate enough to get my Daily Disney fix of flash on Ariel & Pirates. Sorry. I must hog them all up there and leave nothing for Peter or Pooh. I'll plan better for my next trip...:rolleyes:
Maybe they can offer FP+ and Flash FP+. Those who wish to flash away can all go together. Those of us who wish to actually see the attraction and enjoy it can go together. It'll be a new tier offered - entitled or polite.

I despise the cell phone coming out to VIDEO the entire dang ride! Come on!!! Talk about rude!! Especially when it's in an attraction where they tell you no recoding devices allowed! :cautious::cautious: That peeves me off almost worse than the flash!!

Yeah, this is worse and more common than the flash photography.
I've been on PotC where half the people in the boat had their illuminated phone screens out while they recorder video.
Completely takes me out of the immersion of the ride.

So, yes, I occasionally use flash on dark rides...BUT: it's an infrared flash:) So it's invisible to anyone's vision, but does let me catch my kiddo's faces at that perfect jaw-drop moment:) Or screaming on Space Mountain...

Visible flash is rude and gross, on rides, etc. and sad, because it's going to look crappy. Every disney trip is a chance to see how much better my current camera/s are in the dark:)

I wanted to get some shots of Rivers of Light, but I didn't because I didn't want my big bright screen to bother anyone else. Back in the days when you looked through an eyepiece it wasn't such a big deal.

I can remember when digital cameras first came out and people were still in the habit of looking through the eye piece. I'm sure I did it too and got laughed at by my children...

We actually still DO still look through the eye piece/view finder. I find that sometimes you get too much glare on the screen when it's really bright. I'll use the screen sometimes, if I can't get in a good position to take the shot (holding camera over head and rotating screen towards us). We love our camera--the flash actually has to be manually installed if we want flash (which honestly, we rarely do).

In 2014, I was at Disney World with my family. On our DHS day, some of us went to see Voyage Of The Little Mermaid. The woman in front of us was holding up her tablet taking video of the performance, even though it was against the rules. My Dad told her several times to stop.

Same...I just don't get it! I have never once been sitting on my couch at home and thought...''Gee, I wish i could re-live that time I rode PoC in April of 2012.''

And what really gets me, besides the wanton desregaurd of what was just told to them, is that there is NEVER a CM who goes over and tells these (please excuse me...) morons to knock it off!! The iPad/tablet people are the ABSOLUTE worst IMO because you can see those darn screens from the back of the auditorium!! It irks me that these people think they are above rules or that somehow the rules do t apply to them, they're "special" after all...they paid a lot of $$ and they're going to do whatever they feel like.

It's the decade of "ME ME ME". It seriously makes me want to put Rapunzel's cast iron frying pan to good use.

If someon is taking one picture of the rides and not people I don’t mind. If people didn’t takes pictures in the rides you wouldn’t get to see em before you went on. Yes, you can take a picture without using flash but sometimes it just looks better in my opinion. Excessive flash is a bother though, but one no problem.
