Trip Report Five Years Flies When You're Having Fun!

WE'RE BACK!

That's right, M and I just got back from another Disney trip that occurred before I even finished my previous trip report. It's been a busy two months! I didn't even have time to make a PTR!

Who: Me and M (with a quick cameo by my brother, Jay)
What: An extended weekend Disney vacation
Where: WDW Swan
When: October 26-30, 2019
Why: Our five year wedding anniversary

Thank you! Congrats to you as well! We were together over 7.5 years before we got married (pesky marriage bans in much of the country and all) so we celebrate that date too!

Happy anniversary! I tried to convince my wife to do a Disney trip for our upcoming 10 year in May, but 4 plane tickets was too much to swing for a short trip. Maybe 15?

Day 1, cont.

Soon we began our descent into madness. Er, Florida.

Ah, suburbia...

SO MANY BASEBALL FIELDS

We managed to still arrive a bit early despite taking off late. As soon as we landed I got this notification:

Woohoo!

We went down to baggage claim and watched as the same bags kept rotating over and over with no new bags being added...

...and finally an announcement came on that said they had switched us to a different carousel, and the mad dash of Jersey people began!

After that we collected our bags pretty quickly and summoned a Lyft. Miguel picked us up a few minutes later, and before we knew it, we were entering the (new and improved) Swan lobby!

I checked in in the ELITE check-in area (I am a Silver Elite member...well now a Gold Elite after this stay!) and was welcomed by a friendly CM (whose name I sadly did not take note of!). He gave me our keys, which sadly don't have guest names printed on them anymore, and we headed up to the sixth floor.

I don't know why, but I enjoy room pictures.
I see an alarm clock on the nightstand, just one little thing I miss in Disney rooms.

It's a hand-held shower device -- often helpful for people with various handicaps, etc.

The first time I tried using this (was staying at the SWAN), I somehow managed to have the water spray all over the bathroom with it. (Slight learning curve . . . )

My guess was that it’s rectangular so you can’t really tell from the pic?
