Just thought of another observation. I didn’t see as many animals at MK. I saw several ducks, but that was it. I didn’t see any cats, turtles, and other wild birds that I normally see at DL.
I wonder if Disney bought the turtles or adopted the turtles? There mostly the common turtle you find for sell in the pet store.Just thought of another observation. Good question. I don’t know where the turtles or the other animals I’ve seen in the park came from. Not even the ducks. I know why the cats are there, but I’m not sure about the history of how the others got there.I wonder if Disney bought the turtles or adopted the turtles? MOSQUITO STATE BIRDJust be glad you didn’t encounter the state bird of Florida - the mosquito lol
I don’t recall seeing any wildlife at MK , not even the little geckos you see throughout the rest of the resort. You often see a variety of pretty cool birds around 7 seas lagoon - egret, stork , ibis, etc
I read that MK actually pipes in sound to try to keep the birds out of the park to avoid the inevitable burglary of guest snacks
I’m sure the ducks are wild. They recognize the waterways prime home without the need to migrate.Good question. I don’t know where the turtles or the other animals I’ve seen in the park came from. I remember the park also having swans in the moat. Too bad they’re gone now.
I'm pretty sure there are usually egrets (or are they storks?) in Frontierland at the Magic Kingdom. Or at least there were at one point. You often see a variety of pretty cool birds around 7 seas lagoon - egret, stork , ibis, etc
I’ve seen wild Heron in DL by entrance of Adventureland. It was cool to see some actual native wildlife using a crowded park as refuge.I'm pretty sure there are usually egrets (or are they storks?) in Frontierland at the Magic Kingdom. Or at least there were at one point.

I know Disney put Mosquito Fish all over their body of waters to combat mosquitos.I have seen egrets and herons, lizards, mice/rats (not Mickey), possums, skunks, and raccoons in DLR on top of our friends the cats and the turtles. I've also seen little fish in some of the bodies of water (y u c k).
PREACH!!!!!!!!!Another observation… There are SO many rides with a Fastpass (just gonna keep using this term for a while) option. Why does Dumbo need this? Or the Teacups? Even Pirates…this ride has high capacity. Why not just have a standby?
Has it always been this way?PREACH!!!!!!!!!
It’s possible. Even Pan and small world have FP.People have always said the fast passes at WDW were a nightmare and I wonder if maybe this is why?
No, this only started in 2013 when they switched to Fastpass+. They replaced the paper machines with MagicBands but most importantly (and terribly) let everyone book 3 in advance. So a lot more like people started using it, and so they needed more fastpasses to give people, so everything under the sun became fastpass-able. Including parade and nighttime show viewing areas.Has it always been this way?
Part of the Fastpass+ charade to convince people to schedule more and more of their stay.. and pump up the # of attractions in the FP+ pool.Another observation… There are SO many rides with a Fastpass (just gonna keep using this term for a while) option.
