First Visit to MK: Disneylander Documentation

The cave queue is not a distinct feature of The Little Mermaid. I wouldn’t look at it and think, yes, definitely Little Mermaid! If the queue mirrored Ursula’s lair with the souls in jars, that would be different.

It still doesn’t scream The Little Mermaid to me.🤷🏾‍♀️

Probably because I was equally confused when you said the queue looked like a fancy strip mall lol. Haha.

That photo I posted was the first thing that popped up on Google images.
I could tell it was:) it wasn't what I meant. And really all I mean is that is one of the FEW things I think is better in Florida. Gave a few others earlier in this thread, but over all, I would take Disneyland over MK and DLR over WDW. I do think Pixar Pier was a step backwards from what they has brought Paradise Pier up to, but that said, Even DCA has become a heart felt park. Of the four parks with out a castle and hub in the six USA parks, I would definitely put DCA as the best. We'll if I feel different about Epcot once they are done, but I honestly do not anticipate that.

No problem at all. It’s okay to disagree on things. I welcome disagreement in this thread because it’s interesting to hear different perspectives. For example, I disagree about your thoughts on DCA. It’s a mess lol. But I respect your opinion!

That’s the facade. We’re discussing the queue.

🤷🏾‍♀️🤷🏾‍♀️🤷🏾‍♀️

Which..a good portion is viewable in the queue, and once you go past the castle (and past that view), it's all the cliffs/waterfall/boat/castle elements which is directly from the human's setting of the film.. and right from there you get into the collection of 'human stuff' and Scuttle himself. A collection concept again directly lifted from Ariel and Scuttle's scenes in the film.

Not sure how one doesn't get TLM from these areas...

Honestly the only generic portion is as you move towards the loading area.

I remember seeing a waterfall (not distinctly Little Mermaid), more cliffs/rocks, of course (not distinctly Little Mermaid)… I didn’t see a castle or a boat in the queue (not saying they’re not there). As I stated before, I’d have to go through it again and take my time. Because as of right now, the queue, not the facade, still doesn’t come off as a very distinct Little Mermaid queue.

The audio alone needs to be replaced. The animatronics seem to barely move, but I feel like that’s the case with DL’s, too.

And then watch DL’s… Very noticeable differences. I hope MK’s gets some love and attention soon.

I don't really trust the WDI of today to go a good job of updating MK's Peter Pan ride, but if they did it might look like Tokyo, which used to be a 1:1 duplicate of MK's version:

I don't even like Peter Pan and I am offended by how hokey and busted WDW Peter Pan is. o_O

At this point, the ghost train jankiness of the whole thing only adds to its charm.

Considering all the things that have changed at WDW in the last 50 years, it's amazing we sill have it like this, even after what they did to the queue (which is now more elaborate than the ride itself).

maybe WDW is just waiting to fantasy springs Peter Pan ride to play out, then they will build a fantasy springs like area in MK?...that would be chill imo

Oh wow that’s too bad. They seemed to have replaced them all last year with fresh upholstery and paint. I guess the guests have been rough.
And stuff like this is always bound to happen. I just hate when it’s noticeable.

Toontown at DL is a great example. Chipped paint literally everywhere. Hoping they fix that during the current downtime.
