First Time Poster

[French Quarter]

Hi all,

I'm planning a return trip to WDW for next year and decided I would join this site. As my name suggests, I'm planning on staying at Port Orleans French Quarter. We're taking advantage of one of the great deals Disney has recently released. I'll be travelling with my husband and my son, who will be almost 2. I'm hoping to get to know some other Disney fans. It's good to be here. Can't wait to meet you all!

Disneybird, I'm glad to hear that you liked it. Last time we stayed at Wilderness Lodge and we are worried that anywhere after that will be a let down. POFQ looks beautiful though and the price is certainly right!

I have stayed at WL many times too. Though WL is a beautiful resort, I would not hesitate to stay at POFQ again. It all depends on whether I can stay moderate or deluxe on my trip. I like the look of POFQ, the quiet, the closeness to the buses, boats, dining and the pool. You will be the first pick-up for the buses that are shared with POR. You also have a boat to DTD that is a very relaxing ride. There are carriage rides too.

Thanks for all the welcomes! I have been having a blast posting here since yesterday. It's hard to tear myself away. This seems so much more positive than some of the other message boards I've visited. Thanks for making me feel so welcome!

I am getting more and more excited about this resot, Disneybird. The big difference that I see is having to use the buses. I really don't enjoy that part of my Disney vacation, although I am glad that transportation is provided. Staying at WL, I found it heavenly to simply get on a boat. I can't wait to see POFQ though. It does look very charming and I like how small it is. Thanks for the recommendation, Disneybird.
