First Disney Memories

My first Disney (parks) is from when I was about 6. I remember being in one of the shops on Main Street and my sister and I were picking out princess dresses. (All little girls need one!) She was telling me I couldn't be Belle because my hair was too dark and I retaliated with, "At least I can read chapter books!" (Oh yeah, six year old me had some real sass...) Needless to say, I got to be Belle and she was stuck being Ariel. HAHAHA!

Last time I rode in the front was early 90's and I would love it if they would allow it again. My two boys(3 and 5) would jump for joy. Sept2013 was there first time and returning in sept 2014. To let them have the same experience as I did at there age would be so great

My first clear memory was being scared to death while getting dragged onto the Haunted Mansion when I was 6 or 7 years old (14 now).

It's embarrassing now but I don't think I opened my eyes (my parents forced me to ride) during HM until I was 13 or 14!

I always went on it but was deathly (hehe) afraid. And I didn't open my eyes until I was 22! Now it's one of my absolute favorites.

I remember being 8 and spending 50 minutes in the line for space mountain.when we got to the point of getting on; all I could remember was the riders screams and how dark it was.needless to say I chickened out. Luckily we went back at 10 years old, and I was able to ride it. Now I have to convince my 10 year old who wouldn't even get in line when he was 8 in 2012. 38 days to go and I scheduled him a fastpass +,so we will see how this plays out

My 5th birthday at Disneyland. I was so excited I couldn't sleep the night before. Riding the Nautilus - the newest ride (yes, I just dated myself) at the park with my dad. I remember some type of pirates ride. Trying to make my mother sick spinning the cup at the Tea Party. The train station and the flowers.

And getting my FIRST PAIR OF EARS and wearing them to school.

I had the same experience with my daughter our first trip and that was our first ride - she was 9. She begged to do Space Mountain (the version at DL is two person car, so I thought it would be okay), so we waited in line for an hour in the hot August sun to get on. Imagine my surprise to find the cars are single rider... She screamed as soon as the ride started that she was going to fall out, screamed the ENTIRE ride and I couldn't get her on any ride that left the ground for the rest of the day, not even Dumbo. So we did the people mover, the carousel, Tea Party, called it a day and went back to our resort. She saw the pool and was happy as a clam. And didn't go back for 14 years.... She still doesn't like Space Mountain and won't do it anymore.
