Finding Nemo Musical - more details

Sorry to be picky, but does that Talking with Crush show cover enough Finding Nemo for the parks? As well as the Finding Nemo room, Bruce the shark area and the new Nemo ride coming to Living Seas later this year. I just do not see how they can tie a Finding Nemo musical into that park of AK. Am I wrong? What other than Tarzan would fit?

I too find it a little strange to have gotten rid of Tarzan Rocks!, but I was under the impression the show ended because of the Broadway show and the liability behind the performers. Is that true?

Nemo sounds like a great idea, and of course I'm going to see it because I love the movie, and it just appears to me that puppets are really the only WAY they can go. It would be kindof hard to use people dressed up as fish.

But of course, I'll wait and hold my opinion until we 1) hear more details and 2) actually get to see the final product. :)

Mulan would be a good fit for the area (next to Asia) but it really wouldn't fit the AK theme. Could we also be looking at the precursor to a possible aquatic expansion of AK?

My 18 month old has to watch Nemo every day. I can recite the movie by heart, now.:rolleyes:

I enjoyed Tarzan Rocks, but I'm looking forward to the new Nemo show.

Also, Lion King had an attraction at every park for a while. Finding Nemo was as succesful as the Lion King in the theaters, so it makes sense to see more of Nemo in the parks.

Narnia My Choice!

I would have picked NARNIA for this area! Think about it the lion, they could use snow/snow on Everest! They could maybe use dinos or something close to them in Narnia 2 or even 3! I think with the beavers,wolfs,fauns,etc. They could make a awsome show, maybe the entrance be made to look like the woardarobe! It has some great fights,characters etc.

I used to think this too, until I saw the TV commercial for Finding Nemo on ICE. Not only were there people dressed as fish - they were ice-skating fish!

Maybe something about Brother Bear. I know it wasn't that popular, but at least it still has music by Phil Collins. Still wouldn't really fit in Dionoland though.

You do realize that the Narnia movie was based off the books? There are no dinosaurs in Narnia, just talking beasts and other mythical creatures.

Whatever they do, I hope they use Ellen Degeneres. Dory is soooo funny. I remember sitting in a dark theater with my kids when she started talking whale, I was laughing so hard. I don't know why, it just struck me as funny.

I don't remember too much music in FN though.
Yea they NEED to use her in it, it wouldnt be the same if someone else did it.

I'll give it a chance, but puppets and black light to a recorded track does not have the same impact and energy as a live show.

It may end up being a great attraction, but I just prefer a live performance.

I think some of you are being to hasty to judge. Voyage of the Little Mermaind, Animagique, and the old Legend of the Lion King at MK, all make extensive use of Puppets, and are all VERY popular. I think you need to wait to see the show before declaring its terrible.
I agree with you Steve, but it seems like Stitch all over again. They are now shoving Nemo down our throat.

Here's a huge stretch but... maybe its the start of adding Australia to AK. :lol: And while they're at it they can extend the monorail and open that 5th gate :rolleyes:

I agree. I loved VOLM.....under the sea and the bubbles. I have to admit that I can easily fall alseep watching it.

I'll do the wait and see. Who would have thought some many people would have loved Tarzan before it opened.

We're not going to have to wait all that long to see the finished product.
I'm looking forward to it. I'm betting it will be good.:)
At any rate, it would have to go some to be as bad as Stitch. :lol:

Although the new Nemo show seems like it's an under-utilization of that space, I just couldn't take any more of Tarzan rocking. I realize that Nemo may not fit in with Dinoland, but the noise-pollution-bass-line from Tarzan didn't fit in with Asia or discovery island.

I don't thing ANY of the ideas kicked around here are dumb.. but this one -- THEY ALREADY HAVE THIS SHOW -- AND THERE IS NO MUSIC IN NEMO --

except Kird Douglas's song -- but that's already at the columbia harbour house ( DISNERD! )

I cannot believe some of the replies here I am reading. You people act as if you have seen the Nemo show 10 times before. This will be a new show. And unless we have a resident psychic here, no one can say that this is a bad show. For all we know, this could be the best show ever made on Disney property. Just give it a chance & wait until you actually see it before you criticize it.

Ok first Ellen would prob. not be doing the voice since they were even too cheap to use her voice in TTw/Crush so I don't see Disney spending the cash for her to do a full 30 min. worth of Dory for a show. Second YES TR was noisey, I loved the show but it was loud hense why they are encloseing the place. So that fixes the get rid of TR because of the noise issue. Third i'm not judgeing the show just the theme of it being Nemo. Yes I could see this being the start of a Australia land which would make me like the idea a bit more, but it won't be it will just be a show not a added land. Next up what could we put in there that would "fit"? Mulan would be a wonderful choice with Asia the movie has wonderful music that could make for a great show. If you wanted to make it fit ak even more you could include horses for the performers to ride? As for Brother Bear that would strictly fir the ak theme & not a land. This would be a tuff show to pull off but could make for a very good one since it also has wonderful music. As for Narnia its too soon for a show or a land since I can see this being a GIGANTIC idea that could even span into a park of its own recreating the land of Narnia. So my ideal replacement would be (besides bringing back TR) Mulan because I know the film has all the elements of a great stage show just waiting to come alive.

It could very well be an excellent show just like Tarzan was... but I criticize its location. While this could be the best show ever, I will continue to criticize its location just as I did with Tarzan. I realize I am tough to please but I won't be satisfied until there is a Dino-themed show in that theather or no show at all -in which case the theater should be torn down and a new, better-fitting experience should be put in its place that is better connected to either Dino-land or Asia.

Add a new wing to TLS -- there is room on either side isn't there???

NEMO --> MUSICAL
NEMO --> MUSICAL
NEMO --> MUSICAL
NEMO ----------> MUSICAL

THERE IS NO MUSIC IN NEMO -- get the soundtrack -- NO MUSIC. the only song is not even an original....

Just becuse fish are animals doesn't mean they need to be at AK! This is much more confusing than a monster energy attraction... stitch's escape... or even a SE rollercoaster replacing the most attended attraction in the world. Why not make an ATLANTIS musical?????? there was no music in that movie either!
