Final Payment Extension?

Im going in July with a party of 5 were staying the the Pop Century, 2 rooms, my rooms final payment is due the 24th of May but we payed it off in full today!! Yayyy :wave: The other room is also due the 24th which is the room my Bestfriend has his name under. But his paycheck doesnt come in till the 27th of May so he can pay it off, They say they dont extend the final payment date but when he called they said they will put a note on it to not take the reservation away till the 27th if he doesnt pay, my dad already left a $200 deposit on so they just need to finish it off. But when i called today to pay mine off and i checked on their reservation the lady said there was no note there saying to hold it until the 27th. Can they extend the pay date for a personal reason like this or no? Beacuase one representative said they can and one said they couldnt. and now im worried they will lose their reservation, my dad will lose his deposit and they wont be able to go

Unofficially, they won't cancel a WDW package reservation until close to 30 days before travel....but I would get it in as soon as possible, and even call the day or two before the 45 day mark to let them know again.

yeah i told him to do that, hes gonna pay them the 27th the final money, our 45 days starts on the 24th and we booked it directly through the WDW website so im hoping they can extend

so wait they hold it for 15 more days after the 45 day mark? so he wouldnt actually lose it till then?

Does someone have a credit card they can put it on to pay it on time? By the time the bill comes they will have the money to pay it or as soon as they get paid, pay that person off.

They won't tell you that, but that is the case.

A few days late won't matter. But at the 30 day mark Disney does have the right to cancel the reservation.

Thanks guys hope you guys are right cuz he plans on making it friday and the 45 day mark is this tuesday he says he has done it before without a problem

Yes you can call again get another cm they will note it and we had to wait almost 2 weeks one time. They give you that and then send an email warning you on nthe approaching time limit for cancellation. I honestly wish they would move it to 30 days before it makes it odd with paychecks and payments.

As was stated above, they give you quite a few chances I think before they officially cancel you. You get an e-mail and a phone call I think.

We had an unexpected home repair right before our final payment was due, and I was worried we would need to wait 3 or 4 days after the due date to pay it. They were totally fine with it. I don't know if that's b/c we had 95% of the trip already paid off, or it's that is a general policy, but luckily we could pay it on time so we didn't have to worry. But I am pretty confident it's not going to be an issue for your friend.

I had to do it last year. My bonus check came the week after my final payment was due. They noted the system accordingly but at 8 a.m. I was on the phone making the final payment the following Friday - didn't want to push my luck :lol: I'll have to do it this year also. Final payment is due 8/6 - my bonus check shows up 8/13...will call and have them make a note and pay it accordingly

okay thank you guys for all your input this makes me feel so much better cuz i was worried him and my girlfriend wouldnt be able to go and it would basically ruin my vacation but you guys are making me feel more comfortable about him paying 3 days later
