Final Day....

I book the latest possible flight, typically leaaving between 8-9pm, so we go to the parks. Our last day is always a Thursday, so we head to MK for morning EMH. We hit all the favorites, have lunch an early lunch at Cosmic Rays, then take the monorail to Epcot. We ride all our favorites once more, then sip-and-snack our way around World Showcase, and grab 1 last pearl at the pick-a-pearl in Japan. We ride SSE on our way out, and then we often go back to MK to do one more ride on CoP and SM, enjoy 1 last dole whip, then stop at the Confectionery for rice crispie treats to take home. I then sob my way to the exit, gaze longingly at the castle one last time, and grab the bus back to our resort. We stop at the pool bar and have 1 last beverage while taking a final lap around our resort, ending at the DME counter. Once we fit a trip to DHS in among all that as well- we only got on ToT, RnRC, and Muppets, but it was nice to see the park one last time. It's an exhausting day, but we wouldn't have it any other way! The thought of going back to boring old Buffalo is so depressing that we really have to keep moving on that last day to avoid getting the blues before leaving.

On our final/check out day we try to low key it. We will usually try to book Chef Mickeys for breakfast before heading over to DTD for any last minute shopping, or we take the opportunity to do some resort hoping. This usually consists of Poly and Contemporary. We tried a long time ago to hit the parks but always found it harder to leave, and exhausting...No matter what you do, its always a very sad day indeed.
