Rumor Figment, well, to be replaced by Figment

The former Imagineer that had listed a few storyboard images on eBay listed another one from Journey Into YOUR Imagination.

Ultimately, I think the best bet for an announcement would have to be D23 2024, since original projections for a redo taking place, was 2025, from what I can remember. They could announce a redo in late 2024, and begin work early on in 2025. This is our best bet for an announcement IMHO, as I don't see anything being announced this year at D23 in terms of this pavilion. Now what that announcement may entail is up for question. Like many have said here, I do worry how current management will handle this redo. It's at least somewhat comforting knowing Figment is such a prominent character within TWDC, but still. Whatever is eventually decided on, is what we'll most likely be stuck with for the next 30 plus years, so it better be worthwhile.

I'm predicting what we have now will close sometime before 2032. I really don't see that ride becoming 30 years old but I also didn't see it become 20 years old either, so who knows.

Also, if something does happen it better happen quick because the Land's current form is already 17 years old (longer than either of the previous versions) and will need help in the future too.

Whatever happens, it won't happen until the dirt pile is finished.

As for the original projections for 2025, I think those were made before covid, hence my guess at 2032.

Unless there are structural issues guests can’t see (which I suppose is entirely possible given the roof issues that were recently dealt with in Living with the Land), The Land really just needs a refresh of surfaces and fixtures that could presumably happen progressively to minimize impact to attraction operations. The attractions themselves are honestly fine and still quite popular for what they are.

And the movie is already new.

Are you referring to the work last year with scaffolding inside living with the land? That wasn’t roof related.
