1. Yes, for traffic flow—reportedly for Avatar crowds! No kidding.

2. RoL is dead and buried. Only lighting and lasers are being tested right now.

3. I have no idea and don't want to imply any wrong information.

I will say this--I trust Rhode. If Oasis is ripped out for an extended Safari Village (as it was once called) with shopping and dining, that's not necessarily a bad thing. As it is, they've lost some of both over the years and had already been lacking.

I like the Oasis, but I'd be lying if I said I spend any time there. Most of the times when I pass through the Oasis I notice very few people looking at the exhibits there (and that's even if any animals are out). If the plans they're developing actually give that area something good and improves it, I'm all for it. If they make it into a huge concrete path for the stampeding masses, leave it alone. That's one thing Disney doesn't need: more concrete expanses.

Yes, I have been thinking about that as well. While Rhode might not have the best track record with regard to wonderful attractions, one thing he is really good at and that is creating intriguing spaces. So I am hopeful that he will try his best to make the entrance look good. But then if he is told to build the equivalent of an 8-lane-highway, there is only so much anyone can do to make it prettier.

When we were leaving through the Oasis in Febuary, the trees were filled with birds! Looking down at the sidewalk all you could see was a battlefield where I'm sure more than one person gets a take home gift from the birds each day. Once we noticed we started walking quite quickly to get out.

If they put the nighttime show into the Avatar plot, what if they created a new pathway between Avatar and where the pathway to the in-park entrance to Rainforest Cafe is now? That's only about 100 yards. Then they can give Guests a choice between "go back into the park" or "this way to the park exit". You'd then be dumping a large chunk of the exiting crowds into the entrance plaza where they don't have to walk through the Oasis.

Yes, they'll be bypassing a lot of the stores on the way out (one reason Fantasmic's originally planned exit to the plaza outside the park was nixed), but it would mitigate a number of problems. They could even install a gift shop along this route that's only open during these "crowd blowoff" times.

I probably spend a good 20 minutes in the Oasis per trip. My biggest complaint is that there isn't enough light in there for good pictures for amateur photographers like myself.

From what I have seen walking by, it looks like this is what they are going for. I saw a few of those hut looking buildings also. Of course, I have no idea if it will actually look like. One can hope it goes for this kind of design.

On the contrary, the actual theater looks even better than that, and fits the theme of Africa perfectly. Sounds like you were there recently...so was I. There are much better pictures of it online, and it looks really good!

It definitely was better design than I was expecting. I just saw it this week, and was surprised that it was not a theater building like Finding Nemo was. Sounds promising.
