Nemo is horrific. A complete waste of at least an hour and a half of my life that I'll never get back. Horrible, horrible show. Good actors, neat costumes, terrible songs, terrible pacing of the original story. Just awful. We were bored to tears.

FotLK is spectacular, however. My favorite show on Disney property. A do not miss IMO.

See, I love Nemo specifically because of the songs; they're original to the show, and it has that Avenue Q feel.
Festival of the Lion King is alright, mostly because of the Monkeys, but there's nothing worse than a Disney theme park show that just re-hashes the songs from the movie its based on.

I think the difference is how Nemo is always the same again and again and again.. identical as it is.
The "surround" show of FOTLK always seems to have some silly thing (be timon's sillyness or other CM) and also is a non stop show.. not slow like Nemo.
I think in general it's tough trying to shoehorn in the entire plot of a movie in a short show as Nemo and Beauty & the Beast do. Better in my opinion to use a movie as a springboard for whatever works. FOLK is repurposed parade materials, but whoever thought it up clearly wasn't beholden to the movie and just tried to come up with a good show using what was available.

Finding Nemo is 33 minutes long. How'd you waste 90 on the show?

Beauty is truly in the eyes of the beholder. Believe it or not I know someone who hates all things Disney.....wouldn't be caught dead in a Disney park.:jawdrop:

Busy day. We waited for it to begin seating (20 min), it took at least 20 minutes to get into the theater, and probably 30 min waiting for the show to start. Then at least 15 minutes to exit.

And the show's only 30 minutes? Good Lord, it felt like half a day.

I'm more than excited you like Nemo. I, on the other hand, am more than happy to avoid it at all costs.

How many people fill the four main roles of FOTLK? I often felt like I saw the same performers over the years. Especially "Kiume" who always has such a distinctive voice.

2 regulars in each role- one works 4 days, the other works 3. Then there are a few understudies for each of the 4 principles (I believe three, but I'm not 100% sure about that).

I assume you know this already, but in case you don't- Bobby Lopez represents one half of the writing duo for Avenue Q (along with Jeff Marx) and one half of the songwriting duo for Nemo (along with his wife, Krista- the pair also wrote Frozen, incidentally).

And more importantly, Book of Mormon.

I agree 100% with this.
