The full effect of the strobes is certainly seen at night, yes...but they can be seen in the day. They give a sort of sparkling "pixie dust" kind of effect.

I would say that it would make for a great show stop effect, but FOF is having none of that. Best bet is that the strobe lights will be either timed to go off at certain points during the music, and/or will be used in eventual evening performances. With less than 2 weeks to go, we probably won't find out much more than what we already know. In the mean time, I'll probably be reviewing every photo and video released until the 9th arrives. Considering the anticipation for 7 dwarves mine train is tepid at best and the hub expansion isn't much better, this is the only project at MK that has any tangible excitement going for it.

I guess between now and the 9th WDW could announce MSEP going down for "refurb" and Festival of Fantasy will have a 3pm and evening performance to allow guests the extra opportunity to experience the brand new Spectacular parade! lol.

There still is time yet for Disney to release more news and keep the excitement and anticipation up! :)

You're not the only one! If anyone sees or hears something, please report!
I know I asked eariler about MISICI being different on March 6th, but someone said that it didn't mean anything. Now, with FOF's Grand Debut on the 9th, I'm starting to wonder again. Maybe the 6th is a commercial shoot? Or a soft open no one knows about? Would FOF open early if MK is packed that weekend hoping for a soft open?

If I understand correctly, due to the extra rehearsals that were scheduled, there will be no soft openings. The 9th will be the grand opening for one and all. However, I wonder if TDO will do what TDA did for Soundsational and bring out a few floats and performers for commercial/promotional purposes. If anything, they'll probably just film sometime after opening. I remember seeing many a commercial for SADCT when it premiered, it would be ludicrous for Disney not to promote and advertise FOF.

Someone brought this to my attention.. When Disney annoucnced there would be 7 units comprised of 9 floats did that mean there will be 9 floats total counting big and small? Or the 7 units that they announced PLUS 9 others??

I thought units meant each grouping of characters and dancers, like Tangled is 1 unit with 1 float and a group of dancers, Brave is 1 unit with 1 float and a group of dances, the finale unit has at least 2 floats the Dumbo/Pinocchio float and the Mickey/Minnie Hot Air Balloon Float

The floats I've seen are 1 Princess Garden, 2 Tangled, 3 Brave, 4 Peter Pan, 5 Little Mermaid, 6 The Maleficent Dragon, 7 Dumbo/Pinocchio Float and 8, the Mickey/Minnie Hot Air Balloon so if there are 9 floats they must have an extra one some where, or a small one, but these are all they released photos/video of

Have I not heard Randy say somewhere that the finale consists of three floats?

I know the parade opens soon, anticipation is high, and there haven't been many updates, but lets try to keep a level head while we wait, yes? There are 9 main floats. Princess Garden, Tangled, Little Mermaid, Peter Pan, Brave, Maleficent, Pinocchio/Dumbo 1, Pinnochio/Dumbo 2, Mickey & Minnie Airship. The last 3 are all part of 1 finale unit, and the rest are their own individual units, totaling 7. Although the Pinocchio/Dumbo floats connect, Disney is counting them as two, and given their size, I can see why. Outside of that, there should be no surprises regarding float count and any smaller elements will be revealed come March 9th.

OK thanks, I know there was some mention of the 3 fairies from Sleeping Beauty (Flora, Fauna, & Meriwether) being in the parade on Segways or something, and wasn't sure if that counted as a float or not

This is the lineup:
1. Princess Garden
2.Tangled
3.Little Mermaid
4.Peter Pan
5.Brave
6.Sleeping Beauty (Maleficent Dragon)
7. Finale (Pinocchio,Dumbo,Mickey and Minnie)

So the 9 floats seem to be a mystery. There was a rumor of Tick Tock and a few others that some have said to be cut/not happening..
