I think if FOF does get released there would be a huge uproar with DL fans as they have been begging for World of Color and Soundsational to be released and it has yet to happen. It would have to be entertainment cd release for both WDW and DL like the last official album. There sure is enough audio they can use! Should be a box set!

I think it's safe to say that the soundtrack will not be released on CD.

DL fans have nothing to do with it. What is done for one resort isn't necessarily done for the other (even with the corporate structure of "One Disney" that still is very much in place). As I was told, the merchandising dept. has to decide if it wants to do such. And, WDW has a fairly better track record than DL certainly does. DLR's failure to release their music has nothing to do with WDW's decisions.

Has that been stated yet by Steven, or anyone else officially on the project? If not, then who knows.
The only way we would get a definite 'no' is if the contracts for the music production didn't include stipulations for official release for purchase. If that's not there, as sometimes depending on the production, it isn't...then it's a no-go. But if they are properly put in place, then it can happen...and again, it's up to the merchandising dept.

If the merchandise team was smart they would release the soundtrack before it leaks.
I would rather see a Magic In The Streets or Event Party type cd rather than just a FOF single. The problem is unlike TDL when wdw does get around to releasing music it's usually not the entire soundtrack.

Of course....the day after my flight home. So are there going to be softs before this date?? I hope so because I don't know when the next time I'll be in Orlando is.

BREAKING NEWS!!!!!: FOF opens March 9th!!!! What does do for soft opens??? Or, is Disney just announcing soft opens?
There may well not be one. With all the rehearsals taking place, they have the actual parade performance covered. MK ops are plenty experienced with parade crowd control, so they do not need a soft open to test that.

The garden float music gave me chills. Those violins are simply ear candy. And the choreography is really exciting, but did anyone else catch the three good fairies at the end battling the stilt walkers? That's going to be soooooo badass with them floating across the route, fighting alongside Prince Phillip. This parade is truly inspired, it's honestly the best mix of the traditional with the modern into this state of the art masterpiece.
do you like it?
At first I was kind of iffy, but when I listened to it through my headphones, I was all for it. This is honestly the best parade soundtrack Disney has produced since Parade of Dreams.

AWESOME. Now, do I go opening weekend or the one after it? Hmm...decisions, decisions!! Probably will opt for the weekend after just to spend St. Patrick's day in WDW. Can't WAIT to see this parade!!!

(And here's to hoping nothing happens to MSEP, especially while there is no suitable light parade replacement at the moment. Looks safe for now...fingers crossed.)

So excited to see the footage of FOF. I thinks it's going to be truly amazing

I hate to be a downer - but does anyone else think the dragon and the characters who go with it might just be a little frightening for little ones? This isn't exactly Elliot in MSEP :p

I can just see unsuspecting families being caught off guard by it

And it isn't exactly Alien Encounter either. ;) I don't see how they can be caught off guard considering Disney heavily advertised it from the beginning. I feel many of us don't give kids enough credit as to how much they can stomach fear-wise. I think of the kid factor for Maleficent similar to the way kids think of dinosaurs. Most kids love dinosaurs, but there are some who are terrified of them. Haunted Mansion is a Disney treasure, but a lot of kids find it frightening (including myself at the age of 7), but you don't see a wrecking ball next to that ride. In the end, you can't please everyone, and it's not like people are being forced to see the parade. Anyway, I guess we'll just have to see how it goes March 9th. :)

Speaking of Mansion, at age 8, I was more freaked out at the pre show than the ride!

Also, In the comments of the Parks Blog Post from this Morning I saw that FOF will be at 3PM "most days"

hmmm.. as far as heavily advertised, if I was not a Disney addict, I would not know about a new parade & every aspect about it. I think most families say "ohh the 3:00 parade - let's see it" without a thought of "hmm, is this going to scare Jr??" That is as oppose to the MH or Dinosaur - where parents (and kids) already are kind of aware that there may be something scary for the kids.

I'm in no way against having a darker element to the parade - in fact I'm all for it - However I think it was an extremely bold move to include it. It's not even the dragon that made me raise an eyebrow - it was actually the crow. I could easily see him freaking out some kiddies. Again - a bold choice for Disney

For real. I remember believing we were actually trapped in there. Though I would be impressed if you weren't freaked out by the old attic bride, I definitely was, lol.

In regards to the frightening portions of the parades, I can't deny that there will be kids afraid of that unit, but I can only hope Disney won't let that later the parade.
