Festival of Fantasy Parade coming to Magic Kingdom in 2014

No. MK only did that for Media/Christmas Day Parade. It ran from TS to splash, I should know, I was there twice in Surprise Celebration's lifetime.

I know I saw it in person as well, but I don't really recall which way it went. I know for Christmas and anything media/TV related the parade runs from Frontierland to Main Street, and I had always heard that this parade with the big balloons had to run that way as well because there wasn't enough clearance with all the trees along the backstage access road which is just as long as the actual parade route. I guess I could have it wrong but this is what I always thought was the case

I forgot to add this earlier, There's YT Vids of SC going from TS to splash, even Martin's!

A less melodramatic answer would be sight lines for the fireworks and castle shows.
And I agree with that answer. It looks much more open! TS too! Great for seeing Parades on MS from the Train Station! Speaking of trees, I think some has Grown out! I have a different earlier memory of trees. We used to ride the RR close to parade times, I remember seeing Spectro's Dragonfly unit on the left side of the tracks right past the MK Monorail Station, getting ready for that nights Performance. It was cool! During my trip on 2013 We rode the RR about 6:30-7:00ish and I saw no MSEP units. MSEP was at 9 that night so maybe it was too early or the trees have filled out on the left side of the tracks.

Off topic: My goodness, the castle looks so much more grandiose surrounded by trees. Simply beautiful. I wish had the opportunity to visit the Magic Kingdom when it was in this state.
You can kind of see the full Center Street running across Main Street, plus the working theater showing animated shorts.

It normally ran up Main Street. I checked YouTube for confirmation.

There's an old parade float that still makes an appearance at Halloween with Jack Sparrow on top, sort of like a large rocky cliff. If they repainted it, it would be fun maybe at halloween or some other special event to have Philip on top in front of the dragon "fighting" it. Not in the actual parade, but in special parades.

Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if the Maleficent float makes an appearance in the Halloween parade. Though it would probably make the rest of the floats look cheap by comparison.

Id be surprised if they don't use it in boo to you. I don't think it will look THAT odd. Would be a sweet addition actually.

Sad to report more trees and entire planters were removed in the last couple of weeks near the Crystal Palace and the Plaza Restaurant to make more concrete viewing locations for the fireworks. More removals in the future I would imagine.

Another scary thought about floats for you parade fans. The Castle float still lives. It is not destroyed. Bet it returns in a parade. Maybe still planning to use it in the Christmas parade. It has more lives than a cat.
