I must admit that worries me a little. I think MSEP should have a return date right from the start. It doesn't have to be on the parks blog, but it should be somewhere so we can keep tabs on it and keep asking MK if we need to.

Do you happen to know the start date? Is it right on FOF's start date? One of the preview dates? Give or take a few weeks?

I get the bad feeling we're about to see the MSEP get the Spectro treatment. I truly hope not, but I don't think it's merely a coincidence that FOF debuts, and can run at night, and MSEP just happens to also be going for a refurb. I dunno, we'll see I guess.

They don't because they're cheap. See Tokyo Dreamlights for what a proper Disney night parade should look like in 2013.

I didnt say it was a fact, but after the spectro mess what do you expect one to think.

yeah I do partly blame him, among others in management/TDO. Read around here, Im not the only one who feels the same way. Its not assumptions either, our insiders have confirmed things before especially in other threads. anwyay moving on.

I ask this because I heard something a few weeks back that could have been interpreted as "Dreamlights coming to WDW (maybe around 2015?)". It was just an overheard remark, and could well have been out of context.

There's whispers of a new light parade for Disneyland, but I'm still skeptical of how that may work operationally

Well if MSEP really is going down, Im guessing the main reason for that is to allow FOF two performances a day which is VERY smart. I have a feeling its going to be very ruff finding a good spot along the parade route for awhile. Having only one 3pm performance would be crazy! Also with Orlando's heat in the Spring and Summer plus these new costumes and dance routines... a night performance will be much easier for the performers!

We can hope that when MSEP does return it will get the Dreamlights treatment, or who knows maybe TDL will give up Dreamlights by then and ship it to WDW, or at least some of the floats. TDL has had Dreamlights for some time now. With them constantly getting new parades and shows I have to imagine a new light parade is in the works sooner or later.

But I think its safe to assume once MSEP goes down, for whatever reason that be, Its going to be at least a couple years with no light parade at MK. Im willing to bet we will see a new nighttime show at MK before a light parade.

maybe NOT having a timeframe for MSEP's return is a GOOD sign. after all when Spectro went down, it had areturn time frame of 90 days and look what happened.

Although nothing is etched in stone, I would not expect to ever see the MSEP again once the new parade debuts. It is designed and has been planned as a day/night deal similar to what DL has been doing with the terrific Sounsational.

And with a Wishes replacement due in about two years (maybe less even), there simply is no reason to bring that relic (that is falling apart) back again.

It should never have returned in 1999 and certainly this last time. It needs to be put out to pasture.

Well my 'original' light bulb's special box is looking kinda faded and dull so its about time to get a new one that'll scream 'sucker' when the parades comes back from the grave...

If so hopefully someone can upload pics for us! I was wondering if any new floats, whats there yet, could be seen backstage from somewhere? Or do they, and will they, have the floats hidden very well?

I have a feeling the KTTKT will be quite popular as we get closer to March lol...
