Feed the Birds

During our vacation this August, one of my most favorite attractions was "One Man's Dream" in MGM. I was very inspired by the story of the man behind the mouse. At Orlando's airport, I purchased the very thick and expensive copy of his biography, Walt Disney: The Triumph of the American Imagination.

On page 618, there is a story portraying a very pensive and reflective Walt Disney. Every Friday, at the end of the work week, he would stare out the window and ask the Sherman brothers to "Play it!" They would sing "Feed the Birds" from Mary Poppins, and he would cry. I was unfamiliar with this song, so I did an internet search. This is what I found, if your interested. Be careful, it might make you cry as you think about this great man being touched by such a humble song.
