I'm sorry if this has been posted before.
Anyway, my family and I have never stayed in a Disney Hotel, we've always stayed off-site.
So, I was wondering what are your favourite resorts? The most popular one i'll stay at on my next trip. Just as long as its not the GF:lookaroun

I have a feeling i've missed a hotel out, or made a mistake, they were all from the top of my head, so yeah:lookaroun

I have 3 that I love to stay at: AKL, WL and BC. They each have their advantage.

  1. AKL for the Safari and animals,
  2. WL for the Wyoming Yellow stone feel and boat to MK
  3. BC for the pool and short walk to Epcot and DHS.
An honorable mention goes to French Qtrs.

I know there the "cheaper" hotels, but any of the all stars are great. We have stayed in them every trip (3). I love the themes and the pools. The price is half of the moderate ones and just as nice. Hope this helps. Have fun!!! All Star Sports and All Star Movies are our favorite ones.

I think that for the overall vacation value is the AKL. It isnt as expensive as the other deluxes and has an absolutley amazing theme. It truly is an experience in itself.

I voted for Boardwalk because I love the atmosphere there. There's always something going on, and it's just a very "alive" resort.

Voted for the WL because of location and overall great theming. Love the food at Artist Point and the Whispering Canyon Cafe. It's a very relaxing place and you will frequently see families playing board games in the lobby or relaxing in front of the huge fireplace. :king:

I voted for Boardwalk because I like that you can walk over to Epcot, eat down on the boardwalk at a few different restaurants and the grounds are beautiful. Second would have been AK, third WL with and honorable mention going to the Poly.

We've stayed at many different resorts so far and have truly enjoyed them all and have fond memories from every stay. Our favourites from each category are:

Value: POP...a little newer than AS resorts.

Moderate: Coronado...love the theming, pool, Rix and Pepper Market

Deluxe/Villas: AKL...architecture/furniture is gorgeous, great/unique gifts in gift shop, the savannahs are awesome, love the pool/hot tubs/fitness center and restaurants. We stayed at AKl for the first time last month and it moved to the top of our list. Also, BOMA became one of our favorite (top 2 or 3) restaurants on property. I'm not an adventurous eater, but we ate breakfast and dinner there during our stay, and I found many familiar dishes and tried some amazing new ones.
(BTW, The Wilderness Lodge is a close 2nd favorite in this category. Same reasons...architecture, pool, fitness, recreation, restaurants, etc.)

AKL all the way!!!

Being able to walk out on your balcony and watch the animals on the savanna is the main reason. I also love the sore, restaurants, architecture, design, pool, everything else. It has it all IMO.

I vote for Boardwalk. Not only is the atmosphere great, as well as a good array of dining and entertainment options, but you cannot beat the location.

Contemporary for 3 reasons: Location, location, location.

If you don't like riding the bus everywhere or using a car it can't be beat. Withing walking distance of MK, monorail to Epcot, Polynesian and Grand Floridian, boat to Wilderness Lodge and Fort Wilderness and bus service to DHS, AK, DTD, TL and BB. The buses are shared with the other two monorail hotels but they pick up and drop off guests at Contemporary first so it's better than other hotels.

Plus the renovated rooms are the best on property and restaurants are great, the shopping is good and the arcade is great (well it was I don't know about now). My only complaint is the pool is underwhelming in design and it's really shallow. Other than that no complaints from me.

Our favorite is by far the Coronado (we've stayed at the All-Star Sports, Poly--numerous times, CR--couple of times). The only other resort that we want to try is AKL (savannah view). So until we do and see if we like it, CSR will remain our favorite. We love that it has a "deluxe" feel at a moderate price. It has everything we want in a resort and we have had 7 nearly perfect stays (and trips 8 and 9 are booked).

Basically all of the below reasons are why Boardwalk is my favorite.

I voted for Boardwalk because I love the atmosphere there. There's always something going on, and it's just a very "alive" resort.

Our home resort is Old Key West and as much as I've grown to love it the Boardwalk is nice because there is always something going on.

I voted for Boardwalk because I like that you can walk over to Epcot, eat down on the boardwalk at a few different restaurants and the grounds are beautiful.

We love walking to DHS and EPCOT. The boats are nice but its always faster to walk. We like to control how fast we get somewhere. Plus its nice at park close to be able to walk instead of being packed on a bus.

I vote for Boardwalk. Not only is the atmosphere great, as well as a good array of dining and entertainment options, but you cannot beat the location.

ESPN Club is a family favorite. We go there to watch our College teams play while we are on vacation. October 07 it was great to watch the game on the big screen cheering with other UK fans when we beat LSU.

When it comes to Value I don't think you can beat Pop Century. This is where I stay when I'm not going with my parents because its always been clean and I LOVE the theming. For MNSSHP my friend and I wore 80s disney stuff so our room near the 80s section was great to take pictures when we got back from the party.

Polynesian

Polynesian has the most beautiful grounds. As soon as you walk in the door and see the three story waterfall and get your lay, your transported to a world away from the busy everyday to the relaxed realm of the islands. It's location is unbeatable and the size of the room, 4 to 5 people can easily stay and be comfortable. Oh and the monorail with a balconey room looking at Cinderella's castle and the water parade.
