Favorite WDW moments

A "moment" is a brief instant, lasting no more than a few seconds. WDW is filled with many finite experiences that could be considered moments. An entire attraction, show, or meal does not qualify as a moment. But entering a queue or sitting down at a table does. A snack doesn't qualify but that first bite does.

Some of my favorite WDW moments include:
  • Driving under the Walt Disney World gate for the first time at the beginning of a vacation
  • Walking into a resort (any onsite resort) just before checking in
  • The countdown to the opening of the Magic Kingdom
  • Sitting down at Starring Rolls first thing in the morning with my coffee and pastry in hand
  • Entering the ToT queue for the first time
  • The countdown to the launch of RnRC
  • Climbing aboard a raft on Teamboat Springs with my family
  • The sip of my first adult beverage at the World Showcase
  • The steep plunge on Expedition Everest
  • Hearing "Dead men tell no tales"
  • My first scoop of ice cream from a Sand Pail Sundae at TL or BB
  • Sitting down with my family at Mama Melrose's for late dinner (my family's favorite), walking outside after and having the streets in front completely deserted (that part of DHS gets pretty empty late at night)
  • Hearing "All our wishes will come true" sung at the end of the Wishes fireworks show
What are your favorite WDW moments?

-when the magical express bus pulls up to our resort and when the cast member greets us
-everytime I hear welcome home when I get back to the resort from a park
-when I take my first bite of a mickey ice cream sandwich

-when we go backwards on expedition everest

On EMH night and everyone has mostly gone and you have Mainstreet to yourself and you stand in the middle of the street and look all around you at the emptiness of it all. I LOVE that moment! :)
