Favorite resturaunt with kids?

Our kids' all time favorite was Sci-Fi Dine In. They loved sitting in the front seat of the car (for a change), and the movies were entertaining for all of us.

They also liked 50's Prime Time, but not as much as Sci-Fi.

At Epcot, they liked the Coral Reef at Living Seas. Watching the fish swim by is fascinating.

All of these choices felt to me to be very entertaining without being manic. I like for meal time to be a little bit of a rest for all of us, and I think the kids did too.

My family loves Chef Mickeys, 1900 Park Fare, Whispering Canyon Cafe, Coral Reef & 50's Prime Time cafe like most of the other people here.

Have a great trip!

I agree with you duck daddy! I guess if the worst someone could say is that you let things revolve around your children, you should be happy. I say that is being a good parent. I generally take a busy bag for my children. If I am taking them to a long meal that might not be so fun for them it is not to much to ask to make it as pleasant for them as possible. I like to look at it as making everyone happy. This way the event does not revolve around any one family member (myself included).:)

While I wish I could agree with as much, some of you have to remember that not everyone has kids, nor does everyone want to deal with your kids. I applaud Duck_Daddy for at least keeping the kids occupied so they don't cause a ruckus in the restaurant, but a lot of parents with this ideology that it's okay for the world to revolve around their kids are less-than-stringent when it comes to disciplining said kids. Then said kids run around all over the restaurant (or other social setting), disturbing those without kids. I am by no means calling anyone a bad parent, it's something at this point in my life I would not have the fortitude to do (parent, not insult people), so I reserve those comments.

From personal experience, last year at Coral Reef, our party was seated right by the tank. A little girl came up to our table and started talking with my girlfriend about the turtle. At first it was cute, and my girlfriend pleasantly conversed with the child, but after 30 minutes, it was a little annoying that this child's parents were no where in sight, and we were having our meal interrupted as we were expected to entertain the child. We said nothing, accepting that we were in Disney World, and finally a waiter informed the child's parents that they needed to supervise the child. No big deal in the grand scheme of things, I'm glad the kid was having a good time, but it easily could've been done without interfering with our dinner.

Our favorite places to go with the kids are Whispering Canyon Cafe, any of the character meals, and any of the World Showcase places.

I'd just like to throw a vote in for Cape May Cafe for breakfast. Minnie, Goofy, Chip & Dale are here and the service and character interaction are top notch. A nice added touch is that the tablecloth is paper and the kids are given colors to decorate it with. Mine had a great time coloring and the characters even wrote notes on it. We actually had to ignore the characters sometimes so we could eat (they came around that much) It was great and very kid friendly!
