Favorite Part of your Disney Trip

What is everyone's favorite part of their Disney World Vacation? It could be anything!!!

I think my favorite part of our Disney Vacations is the food! My family plans our trip around eating big meals. Each day we are there we have one big sit down dinner. Over the years we have found our favorite restaurants (Chef Mickey's, Sci-Fi Dine-In, Boma, O'hana) and have branched out and tried new ones. This time, it's Le Cellier, Boma, Chef Mickey's, Mama Melrose, and Cape May Cafe. So a few of our favorites and a couple new restaurants to try! I can't wait!!!

Oh, and of course of trip wouldn't be complete without eating dessert in France at their Patisserie.

What's your favorite part of your trip?

Anybody whose read my posts have read about my brother, a 42 yr. old computer guy, who is the biggest WDW fan I know. (Everyone on this forum has a "biggest fan", but my bro is mine.) I think my favorite part is the look on his face when he sees his first palm tree. To quote the bro, "you are not on vacation until you see a palm tree". As we land and are taxiing to the gate at MCO, we are all looking out the window of the plane and each one of us says "Hey John, I'm on vacation" as we spot a palm tree. My bro finds his, gets this goofy 5 yr old kid smile on his face and says, "I'm on vacation". The rest of us know that we are now ready to see Mickey.

Such a hard choice, because there are so many things that are quintessentially Disney for me. But when I think about Florida and Disney, I think about humid nights where the lights of the parks are kind of dispelled and soft in the wet air. That speaks of slick skin and warm breezes.

Yeah, that's my favorite Disney vacation moment... :)

Going under the Walt Disney World sign!! That tells me that I've arrived! :D

I have to agree! When we arrive, I always drive around to 192 and come in through the Main Gate. That's the most welcome sight you can see!

for us it's just getting on disney property. we drive from tallahassee, so we count down the miles on the signs. and then we see the best sign of them all - the arch entrance sign. we always head to dtd first and get some ice cream from ghiradelli's (sp?). then we head to our resort and plan the rest of the trip. it's nice to know you have a whole trip in front of you cause it goes by so fast once you start going to the parks.

We do that too - and we watch for the gators in the lakes at the airport!

To me, nothing beats checking into the hotel on the first day. I get my park maps (I do have a tendency to collect park maps from wherever my family goes), get my first taste of that Disney magic, and then can just spend time walking around the hotel, finding little hidden Mickey's and stuff like that.

Checking in at the hotel. I love doing that and walking up to the front desk, getting your packet of park stuff, and the hand off of the room key is awesome. :sohappy:

I WOULD SAY GETTING OFF THE PLANE AT ORLANDO FROM PHILLY AND SEEING ALL THE PALM TREES, HOPING ON MAGICAL EXPRESS, ARRIVING 2 POP, CHECKIN IN, AND RUNNING 2 THE BUS STOP FOR EPCOT. WE ALWAYS DO EPCOT FIRST...AND SITTING DOWN ON THE BUSES COLD PURPLE SEATS..I LOVE IT...3 MORE MONTHS!:sohappy:

Oh dear Lord! What don't I love about my Disney Trip?!

My favorite part of my trip is of course driving underneath the Walt Disney World sign. [Moment to reflect........okay done.]

After that its going to Downtown Disney the first night we are there and purchasing my first (of many) pins for my trip.

My favorite part of my Disney trip is the first day that I arrive at 7:00 in the morning. We wake up from the Courtyard Marriott on International Drive and eventually check-in at our hotel. Next, we go to the Magic Kingdom and stay until about 4:00. We finish the day with Epcot and Illuminations. I guess it's just the fact that it's my first day back at Disney in a whole year!
