Favorite Old EPCOT Ride

I miss the whole old JII pavilion with Captain EO and the JII ride. The best part about them was the fact that there were never any crowds. You could have the whole theater to yourself; it was great (This could be the reason they changes them though! :D )

All these posts and I'm the first to say Kitchen Kabaret.

The "Veggie, veggie, fruit, fruit, veggie, fruit, fruit" chorus still cracks me up.

Food Rocks just doesn't do anything for me.

I can´t remember if I already posted mine, but after reading about World of Motion, I have to say that it was one of my family´s favorite ones because of the fact that you went outside again on the second floor in your car and could see the park (and the line outside) from there. :)

I LOVED Horizons! I miss that ride more than any other. World of motion was great too, although I did not care for Captain EO, Figment ruled!
One other thing I miss is the GE? sponsored kitchen display in Innoventions where they made Chocolate Chip cookies and handed them out! YUM! You could smell them all throughout the area!:)
Does anyone else have the original EPCOT hardcover book?? The one with all of the concept art? I love that one, and it has all of the original stuff inside! IF you can find one, I suggest buying it! I found mine at my favorite used bookshop.....

There are things I miss about all of the old rides. But if I had to pick one it would probably be Horizons (WOM is a real close second).

And I agree with Ranger Woodlore that Kitchen Kabaret was the better show.

My first trip to WDW was in the mid 70's as a young child. Next trip was in the late 80's on a high school trip. That trip i wasn't real sure what to expect, i was thinking I was too old and too cool to be hanging with a mouse! Well as soon as we got to the parks Epcot was 1st place we went. The world of motion was 1st ride and Horizons was next, before that week long trip was over I rode Horizons more than 10 times!!!! That one ride changed my life, I was hooked and have an addiction ever since. I miss Horizons something awful!!!!

Asking me this question is like ripping out my groin.. Honestly, i miss Epcot Center period. The new Epcot doesn't do it for me. The original rides were better planned, more Disney, and to me more fun. WoM was prolly my favorite out of the bunch but i'd say Horizons was right there with it. JII, well the first version that actually used ALL OF THE PAVILLION was the best by leaps and bounds over the next 2 versions.. I still think even though the current version is better than version 2, it still sucks. And Test Crap in all it's thrilling nothingness can't compare theme-wise to WoM. Hopefully M:S will be the one that can make me a believer again that Disney hasn't given up on putting quality attractions in Epcot.

1. WoM
2. JII v1.0
3. Horizons

WoM was my very first Disney attraction. It blew me away and I've been hooked since. TT is a good ride and I don't hate it, but I wish Disney would have built a GREAT ride to replace WoM. I still don't understand why they only used half the building. Oh well....

Now I just hope M:S is everything I think it is. :D

Cheers

  I never got to ride JII and Horizons. I watched both on online videos, and I like JII. Horizons must of been one of those rides you needed to do in person.(orange smell) I say they need to restore JII and build a new Horizons.
