Favorite Ice Cream In Disney

I don't know about anyone else, but one of the best things about Disney World, are all the great places for ice cream.

What would you list as your favorite place?

I'd vote for Ghiradelli's.

I know you can get them at USF and IOA but I don't remember seeing them on Disney Property this past summer.

and the winner is...

for me, it's a toss-up b/t animal kingdom's tamu tamu (in africa) swirl cone (w/chocolate or strawberry syrup in the bottom) and dole whip in magic kingom (in adventureland, right?). it all depends on which way the wind blows (but right now, i'm leaning towards dole whip's pinapple float). :slurp:

There is a Coldstone at the Crossroads at the corner of Hotel Plaza Blvd and Apopka-Vineland. Which technically still Disney's property...

Considering Edy's (Nestle) is an operating participant (what is used at Ghirardelli Soda Fountain, Seashore Sweats, etc) I doubt one will show up within the WDW Resort proper anytime soon.

curiousity question about the dippin dots................... why isnt dippin dots in epcot around the Future World? i mean it is a perfect fit. dippinn dots slogan is, "Ice Cream of the Future"

just curious.

i like the main street shop at the end towards the castle. cant remember the name, but a parade and a big ice cream cone go well together.

my favorite are the strawberry swirls that are by the Mad Tea Party where fantacyland and tomorrowland meet.....Behind Cosmic Rays...Like the Dole whips but strawberry and vanilla..

Dole whip!!

Dole whip by far is my favorite anywhere, not even just in disney. My dad told me about it before my first trip when I was 11, and now everytime i go to Magic Kingdom the day just won't feel right without my pineapple dolewhip from aloha isle! Its tradition and the best ever!!

P.S. its just as good or even better than the icecream at the dole plantation in hawaii!!:D :wave: :slurp: :slurp: :slurp:

I like it too! But I think Ghirardelli has the best ice cream sundae in the world! And of course, we can't forget the Mickey Mouse Ice Cream Bar...:slurp:

No sure of name of place, it's at entrance to Frontierland at the left of the Castle. FRESH BAKED CHOCOLATE COOKIES WITH ICE CREAM..YUMMMMMM Thats what I talkin bout!:sohappy:

1. Mickey Mouse ice cream sandwiches with cookies and cream ice cream in the middle.

2. Sundae from Garden Grill at the ice cream social. As mentioned above, it's hard to beat ice cream and characters!

3. Cold Stone Creamery that was mentioned above. Unfortunately you have to leave the magic momentarily to get there.:(

Ok here is my stupid question for the day. We don't have cold stone creamery around here...is it regular ice cream or is it a custard??Cause I know I'd walk barefoot down I-70 in the heat of a St.Louis summer just to get to Ted Drews for a concrete! :) Gotta love the frozen home made custards.... augggghhhhhh....man I need a fix! :)

Cold Stone is ice cream. Delicious ice cream. With freshly made waffle cones. Then you pick a mix in - real kit kat bars, reeses peanut butter cups, etc., no fakes! They take your ice cream and your mix in - say it's a reeses peanut butter cup, they take a whole one and lay it on top of the ice cream - and then work the two together on a large marble slab. It takes a few minutes but the results are worth it!

I love Ghiardelli's sundae........yummy. That was a great addition to DTD. Also the ice cream shop at MGM, I think it's name is Scoops...my husband eats their mint chocolate chip as many times as he can on a trip. :slurp: :slurp:
