Who still wants to see more Texas Chainsaw’s? I know I don’t. Same repetitive story time and time again.

What about a new spin on A Nightmare on Elm Street?

I love many horror films, but most were released before 1970. After that the trend in horror became gore & teen focused and I never really liked that. Some of my favourites are:

The Innocents, The Haunting (1963), House of Wax (1953), the Universal monster movies, the slient versions of The Bat and The Cat and the Canary, Masque of the Red Death, Horror of Dracula, House on Haunted Hill (1958) & Nosferatu

I'm really looking forward to del Toro's Crimson Peak. That looks good.
Great minds think alike...😉😄
Just watched The Haunting for the first time last week (and enjoyed it). I agree, the gore and subject matters that came with 1970’s horror movies was never something I liked.
Some of my favorite horror flicks are (insert basically every Vincent Price horror movie); Hammer Studios’ Horror of Dracula, The Mummy, and Revenge of Frankenstein; and the Universal monster movies (originals).

That's one I haven't seen in years. I don't think I've ever read the book. There was a TV miniseries about a decade+ ago with Rob Lowe that wasn't too bad. If they wanted to redo a theatrical version, I'd be in.

Cujo may be next on the pipeline...
i don’t recall the rob lowe version too much. i did like the stand. that’ll be nice for a theatrical version. would have to be 2-3 parts probably

Caught Halloween at my local theater on Sunday afternoon, was very happy with the movie. I thought the film had a great pace, they’ve made you fear Michael Myers again (something I felt that hasn’t been duplicated since the original). The music was bone-rattling ridiculous! Great score. Nasty kills. All in all, this sequel lived up to the hype and I am more than happy to dismiss the others...

.... *cough* especially Rob Zombie’s *cough*
