OK, first- my favorite is not on this list. I've been a Doors fan since I was like 3 or 4...and must admit that I cried the other week when I'd learned of Ray Manzarek's passing.
Secondly, since bands like Bon Jovi and Def Leppard were just "rock" vs "classic rock" when I was growing up...I can't vote for them even though I like them. Yes, I know they are now considered class...but I'm in denial.
Third- Queen (FREDDIE!!!!) = AMAZING!
Fourth...while the Stone are not my favorite, I had an INCREDIBLE experience seeing them back when I was in college. Wristbands for tickets were handed out at random and my friend (who was over 200 back from the front of the line) managed to pull wristband #2...so, we sat front row - center! Mick Jagger came down from the stage mid concert and fawned all over my friends to my right, but then stopped when he got to me. A couple of minutes later, Keith Richards came down and did a huge guitar solo right in front of me. And then next thing I know he's tossing something at me. Turned out he was throwing me his guitar pick, but I missed it. It wound up under the floor mats- so no pick for me, but when I got back up from my failed efforts to get it....Keith came back down from the main stage and started yelling something at me. We're in the middle of a very loud stadium, so naturally I couldn't hear a thing. It took 3 tries and him getting right in my face, but he said "sorry love, that was my last pick." Still one of the coolest moments of my life.
OK - Fifth...and the answer the actual question. Out of this list, it comes down to Led Zeppelin vs. The Who for me. If it were DH, I know he'd say Zep, but I much prefer The Who.
*Edit- and darn DH got in my head and I just voted for Zep by accident! Signs I need sleep....
