Most on your poll are amazing, but my vote goes to Led Zeppelin, great rock band and also great at folk music too! Bron-y-aur (apologies for the spelling?!?!) is a track to tap your foot to!

I also love Queen, Bon Jovi and Aerosmith. My OH loves every band you've mentioned! It's thanks to him I love LZ!

I really like them all. I saw Stones twice in concert, and they just blew me away!:D My DH fave!. Our 5th anniversary, we were @ FedEx Field, and had tickets on the floor. We were right next to the 2nd stage! I could see all of Mick Jagger's wrinkles . LOL!:D We never thought we'd be that close, so we didn't have a camera or a cell phone w/ a camera.:(
Zepplin a close 2nd.
Aerosmith a close 3rd.

There is no music of today that will ever match the classics. Jimi Hendrix! "Respect the classics, man!"

Mine isn't on here for some reason.

Queen. Nothing beats Freddie Mercury's style, his dancing and Bohemian Rhapsody, one of the greatest songs ever composed and written.

Agree with you completely on the Bohemian Rhapsody thing. Queen is a good group; I just happen to like Aerosmith better

OK, first- my favorite is not on this list. I've been a Doors fan since I was like 3 or 4...and must admit that I cried the other week when I'd learned of Ray Manzarek's passing.

Secondly, since bands like Bon Jovi and Def Leppard were just "rock" vs "classic rock" when I was growing up...I can't vote for them even though I like them. Yes, I know they are now considered class...but I'm in denial.

Third- Queen (FREDDIE!!!!) = AMAZING!

Fourth...while the Stone are not my favorite, I had an INCREDIBLE experience seeing them back when I was in college. Wristbands for tickets were handed out at random and my friend (who was over 200 back from the front of the line) managed to pull wristband #2...so, we sat front row - center! Mick Jagger came down from the stage mid concert and fawned all over my friends to my right, but then stopped when he got to me. A couple of minutes later, Keith Richards came down and did a huge guitar solo right in front of me. And then next thing I know he's tossing something at me. Turned out he was throwing me his guitar pick, but I missed it. It wound up under the floor mats- so no pick for me, but when I got back up from my failed efforts to get it....Keith came back down from the main stage and started yelling something at me. We're in the middle of a very loud stadium, so naturally I couldn't hear a thing. It took 3 tries and him getting right in my face, but he said "sorry love, that was my last pick." Still one of the coolest moments of my life.

OK - Fifth...and the answer the actual question. Out of this list, it comes down to Led Zeppelin vs. The Who for me. If it were DH, I know he'd say Zep, but I much prefer The Who.

*Edit- and darn DH got in my head and I just voted for Zep by accident! Signs I need sleep....

Doors! I LOVE them!

I must say, now I want to make a video of weird people (including me, of course) that I see in the Parks on my next visit...and put it to this song...

I don't know how long the video will be, but People Are Strange can segue pretty well into Strange Days.

Long before the days of ipods and mainstream digital music;) , I remember taking my Strange Days cassette (easier than working with my parents' album) and doing a dub just for this purpose...i.e. since People are Strange leads off the B side and Strange Days starts the A.

Like the Door. No Pink Floyd on your list? I guess if I have to vote for my favorite it would be the band I listen to the most.

In my case my favorite classic rock band is also my favorite football team - The Eagles.

I'll just come out and say it: I hate the Doors. With a passion. Every song of theirs I've ever heard I've disliked. My dad would have the radio on and before even knowing it was the Doors, I told him to turn it off; it was making my ears bleed. I like Classic Rock. I'm pretty open to most forms of music. But I hate the Doors. Of particular dislike are Riders on the Storm and that one Whisky song. The only worst offender in my book is Janis Joplin.

Oh yes, Pink Floyd! Beware the giant flying pig floating over you. I saw them at the old Municipal ballfield in Cleveland before it was torn down. One of the best stadium shows ever!

* From your list, I like Bon Jovi, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Aerosmith,The Who and The Rolling Stones.

Saw the Stones at Shea Stadium in 1988 or 1989. Saw Bon Jovi at Met Life Stadium a few years ago.

Not on your list but in my favorites: the Beatles, Queen, Foreigner, Styx and Green Day.

I chose Aerosmith because of Sweet Emotion, but I really like Heart, mostly because of Barracuda. Also like AC/DC and the Beatles.
