Hmmmm. Whit!!! Looks like the worlds number one prog rock band have been left out...I don't have to mention who the three lads from Toronto are...

Look at all that hair. I'm about an hour south of Cleveland. Still haven't been to RnR HOF. It's too expensive to me.

Looked at the poll, no Pink Floyd. That's like leaving ketchup off the list of favorite condiments, or beef off the list of burgers...must be getting close to lunch time.

The RnR HoF is starting to get over its bias against "progressive" rock (reflecting the bias of Rolling Stone magazine). Pink Floyd was the only one until the last few years. Rush last year. Maybe Yes next year. The strangest omission is still the Moody Blues.

I don't understand why the Beatles are missing from the choices. There never was a more Classic Rock Band then the Beatles, in my humble opinion. Granted they were generally a little more subtle then some of the others listed, but without them we'd still be singing about a "Hound Dog". If you don't think that they could stand with the less orthodox bands, you haven't ever listened to the "White Album". Helter Skelter anyone?

Cheers...I interviewed Rush after the concert..( still have the interview on cassette tape )..Neil done most of the talking...It was just after the success of 2112 album, and I predicted they would be a big force in the future, which upon Geddy laughed and said, " Well we hope so. " ...

Everyone on this list is pretenders to The Rolling Stones. If you really look at it, the Stones more than likely influenced every group on the list.

The 'progging' of the hall is one thing that they've got right. And another?..... Still no hair bands!!!!

I'm looking now at Rolling Stones' top 500 albums ever. Other than 3 Pink Floyd albums and Aqualung (ranked 333) there's no progressive rock. Nothing from Yes, ELP, Moody Blues, etc. And the Hall of Fame has closely reflected RS's views until now.
