Favorite character interactions?

Oh, we've had so many great character experiences!!
But some highlights:
Bouncing with tigger at crystal palace
Peter Pan pretty much anytime (spent a lot of time with my daughter!)
Chatting with Alice about the flowers
And like some others have mentioned, the obscure characters when you recognize them. We got a great reaction out of Meeko when we called him by name.

When we were on our Disneymoon in '09, a CM saw our pins and gave us special seating for the Spectro parade in MK. The parade moved along and at a few certain points all the lights went out and came back on suddenly - part of the show of course. While the lights were off at one point, Peter pan came over to where we were sitting and gave my DH a high five and the whole parade lit up again. Total coincidence, I know but Peter made a big deal of it :p

One of my favorite interactions has to be quite a few yrs ago when my youngest daughter who was almost 2 at the time played with Or I should say when Rafiki played with her at AK....Everything my daughter did he mimicked, from clapping her hands to playing peek a boo to rolling all over the ground he did...She'd get up and so did he and then they would do it all over again, Jumping up and down ...this probably went on for a good 7-10 mins , also there was not a sole around so he could do that..And the best thing was I have it all on dvd...Its real awesome to watch, as my youngest is almost 10 now!! She remembers though( i think through dvd, lol) , great memories for kids as well as their parents!! Yeah it was a great Disney moment...OOh also (almost forgot) when my oldest daughter was 3 dressed up like cinderella she went to see chip and dale in the Princess tent , chip and dale took my daughter and picked her up and took her to see "their " friend Cinderella , not realzing we just seen her it , but they wanted to show my daughter the "other cinderella " I got some great video and great pics of all of them!!
Ok last one (I sit and realize we have had so many ) Went to see Mickey at AK where they all hang out , near the Lion king show I believe, well all the characters went in for a break so we waited to see Mickey, well not only did he come out but so did , minnie, donald , goofy and pluto!! It was like a charcters love fest !! It was great , yeah that too I got some great pics of all of us!!!

All different trips but each one has great memories! Those people who dont understand how you can go to Disney every yr, every yr is different, always new memories!!
God I cant wait to go back!!! 25 more days!!

My daughters first character interaction was with Darth Vader and he is holding her. It is ridiculously cute in the weirdest way as she is a 2 month old preemie in the picture and looks like a new born!

There really are some fantastic characters in the park. I always find rapunzel and Flynn make me very bashful!

I've had so many great character interactions, but my favourite was in 2011 at the Garden Grill in Epcot. Me and my family were there for dinner and Chip comes over and starts placing his hand over his heart like he loves me and we had a laugh with that and then he left. Dale then came over and started more or less doing the same thing.

Later on into the meal Chip came over again and got down on one knee and 'proposed' to me, by this point me and my family were hysterically laughing. Next thing you know Dale has spotted this and runs over and starts play fighting and doing Kung fu moves with Chip. Both of them were then trying to get me to choose them and continued fighting.

Mickey Mouse then appeared and obviously figured out what was going on and signalled for my dad to choose between the pair of them, my dad chose Dale and Chip then walked off with his head bowed in shame. It was truly hilarious.

First time poster here! We love character meets, and I wanted to hear some of your favorite character moments. Mine was when Alice and her handler came out from backstage near the red phone booths in the UK, where I was sitting and talking to my mom on my cell. Alice came over, sat down next to me and asked who I was talking to. She proceeded to chat with my mom while her handler took pictures of us laughing and talking. It was a magical moment! When DH and I took DD3 to Alice's meet and greet a few minutes later, she remembered our hometown and asked about my "mum" - such a great experience!

I got 2. the talking Mickey character is great as far as interaction. took it to another level. he asked us how would we like to pose before taking a pic with him.
the other could've been 8-9 yrs ago. while waiting in front of the castle, chip & dale were about. chip was walking towards my wife & I. we assumed he was going to a kid in front of us. next thing I knew, dale was behind my wife, & she got tickled & hugged. really cool, & everyone around us laughed. usually try to get a pic with them every time we go now.

A most magical welcome!

We have had many great character interactions over the years, but two of our all-time bests occurred on our most recent trip this past November.

Merida was amazing. Not only did she look the part, she spent about five minutes talking to my girls (probably to the annoyance of all the people in the long line behind us). She was looking at the pins on the lanyards and she got into a conversation with them about the Cruella pin. Who is she? Why is she a villain? Would she hurt her brothers? Then she told my girls about some trouble that her brothers got into. She also did the picture thing for us and signed the autograph book. She signed coloring pages for my girls' cousins as well and asked all about them. At the end, she told them to buy a Merida pin since they didn't have one. Of course we had to purchase one later that day then.

Our second great interaction came an hour later with Peter Pan and Wendy. It was no wonder that their line was so long; they spent a lot of time with each family. For my girls, they started off talking about all of their fairy pins. Of course they wanted to know why they didn't have a Peter pin (we purchased one of those later too). They talked about why Wendy and Tink don't get along. Then the show Once Upon A Time came up and Pan spent several minutes arguing that he was not a villain and trying to convince my girls that Hook is one. In every picture (and I had time to take like 30, no joke), my girls are laughing so hard. Peter and Wendy were still talking to us as we walked away.

I know that the lines for the face characters are extremely long, but those types of interactions truly make the wait worth it, especially when I have 2 girls who are starting to outgrow the magic. They were hooked on meet and greets for the rest of our trip.

We took our kids to MK for MVMCP at the beginning of December and we just had to get my daughter's pic with Rapunzel and Snow White. We were the last ones in the room before the next group came in and I proceeded to ask Rapunzel if she could maybe give my son a hug and a kiss. She smiled and told me she could do better than that. She grabbed my son's hand, brought him over to Snow White and they planted a huge kiss on each cheek. Needless to say, he wasn't too thrilled with it (at least he acted like he wasn't, but we all know otherwise.) The only princess he would get his pic taken with after that "traumatic experience" was Ariel. His reasoning? She didn't have legs to run after him. ;)

I can think of three.

The first was when I saw Mary Poppins on the train at the MK opening show. I basically grabbed the first CM I could find and asked where she would be. He told me the Carousel. My Ex and I ran through MK and got to the carousel in time to have a private ride, and then the CMs that were there asked if I wanted to escort Mary to the Carousel. So I got to wait at the Cast Only gate, and link arms with Mary as I brought her to the Carousel and took pictures with us. It was amazing, and we skipped.

The second involved Rapunzel and Flynn going through my sketchbook, which unfortunately led to the "guest starting issue with me" that I posted about recently. :/ http://forums.wdwmagic.com/threads/has-anyone-ever-had-another-guest-start-an-issue-with-you.877315/

And the last, I will never forget. It was the day after I lost a dear friend to Cystic Fibrosis, and my parents were taking me to WDW for the first time. I was distraught, how could I have fun and mourn at the same time? We went to AK and I saw Lilo and Stitch out. I grabbed my mom and got in line. As soon as I got up to see them, I gave Stitch a tackle force hug, and started to cry. My mom explained to the CMs (who whispered to Stitch and Lilo) that Stitch was my friend Nick's favorite and he used to do the voice and impressions all the time. She also told them what had happend before we left. Stitch hugged me so hard, and then did everything he could to make me laugh. The CM was even kind enough to wait until my face was less blotchy and red before taking the picture.

All of those happened between my two visits, one when I was 23 and one when I was 25. These are the things that stick with you and that help you remember just how special WDW is and that you as a guest, matter to them.

I would have to say all of them. One of my favorite things in the world is watching my daughter when she is with the Disney characters. She gives them such big hugs and is so happy to be there, especially with Stitch.

I had an interesting experience last week at AK. I saw an M+G for Chip an Dale, and I got in line to meet them. There were only about a dozen waiting. My hubby was puzzled but I told him I wanted a picture. They were my childhood favorites and also I thought it would be a hoot to brag to friends at the strait-laced Catholic hospital that I work at, that i had been to see Chip and Dale ("Chippendale's") on my vacation.

They didn't disappoint, they were adoreable and even stole my baggie of cashew nuts from my hand (what was I thinking?) and ran amok with it ! Then I tried to mime feeding Dale and he pretended to cough, so I gave him the Heimlich manuever. I think I am banned from AK for groping a character - not sure... hmmm.
