What is your favorite breakfast item at BOG? Currently, I've pre-ordered the open face bacon and egg sandwich.

Just ate there last week and had the croissant doughnut, which was amazing. Wife had the open faced bacon and egg, which was also very good. The assorted pastries that come with most entrees were great as well. Overall a really good experience.

I really enjoyed the open face bacon and egg sandwich. I tried it last month and all of the flavors went together perfectly.

So I got super lucky and was able to book an 8:15am breakfast reservation for BOG for this Sunday! I was very surprised to get a reservation at a great time so late. We're really looking forward to getting into the park early and snapping some photos without the huge crowds!

Do they hold back tables to be able be booked later (closer to the date), or are late openings like this because someone canceled? (I'm still trying to get one for our trip in a couple weeks..)

My wife and I were fortunate enough to have two reservations there in September. I had intended on trying to taste 4 different things on the menu. however she liked the openface bacon and egg sandwich so much that she got it both times and she highly recommends it. I tried it and it is delicious.

I ordered the croque madame the first time and had every intention of getting something else the second time but it was so so good that there was no way I could pass it up the second time I went there. I highly highly recommended it. the sauce is delicious!

Decisions. Decisons. But I think your wife has me sold on the open face bacon and egg sandwich.

I was just able to snag a ADR for breakfast for part of my group (nothing available for 7, but was able to get one for 4 of us) for our trip in a couple weeks.. when I make the res, I have to pick the people who will be dining with me.. they don't hold me to those people, do they? I am going to keep trying to get an ADR for the rest of my group, but if I am unsuccessful, it won't matter which of my group goes to breakfast, does it?

It does not matter. And you don't have to name the others on the ADR anyway; leave it blank as Guest 2, Guest 3, Guest 4. I have done this with friends who live locally and do not have MDE accounts.

I made an ADR for two when I was in fact going solo. I couldn't make an ADR for one. I told them when I walked up and they just said "okay". I didn't really change anything. They just removed the place setting from the other side of the table. (Shh. Did the same thing for an upcomimg ADR at Kona Cafe.)

When you get up there...you can always ask them if they can squeeze in the extra three people. I called one time and they said the reason they ask the number of people is for capacity/fire marshall reasons. My wife and I and a friend had an ADR one time for 3 people. I did not count my infant daughter (at the time) as a guest because she wouldn't be taking up a seat. When we went to check in, the lady at the desk actually had to change it to 4 instead of 3. Now I know when I book ADRs to include every "body" that will be joining so there aren't any issues.

The bacon and egg sandwich sounds awesome! Is the pastry platter something that can be refilled (like bread at dinner) or is it a one time serving?

Are you talking about breakfast at BOG? Because there are no place settings at the table. You choose your own table and get your own napkins, utensils and beverages.

Nope. Sorry for the confusion. I was referring to BOG dinner. But the concept is the same. Unless the table is wedged against a wall, they're not losing space even if I had made an ADR for two (except for profits, obviously). At a minimum, I would be sitting at a table for two anyway.
