Favorite (and best) queue?

I'd have to say POTC for me. I love the music and the eerie feeling you get. I know my kids would vote for Winnie the Pooh though.

Really, there just are so many. ToT, Splash, Toy Story, GMR, Big Thunder, HM, etc.

Also, I LOVE the queue area for the Wreck-It Ralph meet & greet. As an old school video gamer, the Game Central Station updates board amuses me greatly.

We used our FP's so well and timed attractions with short queue's I get a little disappointed that we do not get to play so much in the lines.

Here's my favorites.

Toy Story Mania

Big Thunder
The quee for this attraction is rather irritating as the line does not normally expand to where all of the cool stuff is and CM's won't let you over there.

Haunted Mansion

Pooh is pretty cool too

EDIT - OK, so i thought we were talking about interactive quees.

Some of my top themed ques.

All of the above except pooh

Star tours

Space Mountain

Tower of terror

Old test track if that counts..

Expedition everest

Number one for me by far is IJA at Disneyland.

But for WDW, I'd have to say PotC, ST and Space Mtn all tie for me, for vastly different reasons. The one thing they all have in common though is their ability to completely transport you to another place and time, so that you are absolutely oblivious to your actual current surroundings. To me, that's the effective measure of a queue.

So as the title suggests I thought it might be fun to discuss your favorite queue line and why it you might be partial to it. Maybe it builds up to the actual ride/attraction or maybe you feel like the queue is a show unto itself. Some queues actual overshadow the ride they lead up to and some do not do justice to how awesome the attraction really is. I was going to make this a poll thread but the list would literally be the entire rundown of attractions in the parks so I decided to leave it freeform.

I, myself am torn. Splash Mountain used to be my hands down favorite for immersive theming that carries through into the ride and then continues to build throughout right up until the final drop BUT limiting the thread to only the queue I might just have to go with the new TLM ride. The queue taken by itself is a masterpiece in my mind. My lack of enthusiasm for the ride itself is no secret:( and since I am a bit of a curmudgeon regarding the current regime I am going to have to swallow my pride and give top honors to TLM...curse you imagineers!!

So go ahead and discuss...BUT the discussion should have nothing at all to do with the actual ride, only the queue and why you think it deserves top honors.
The best Queue is the one you zip through because there's no line...LOL

I thought the River Rapids on AK was cool until we got stuck for 2 hours due to a Thunderstorm and the lady repeating over and over the speech about the the trees getting chopped down...

I like POTC's queue a LOT - when you step inside it, you're instantly part of a mythical world. Same with Splash Mountain's and Big Thunder's. Star Tour's is clever. But my favorite queue is Tower of Terror's. Travelling up that walkway with its overgrown plants and hearing that old music is both chilling and melancholy. The cracked pillars, the empty fountain, the cobwebbed, abandoned parlor...so much thought and artistry went into that queue. I hope to god TDO leaves it as it is.

I'm not the person who's been able to visit WDW alot in my life since I've only been there twice. Once was when I was really young which was about 12 years ago and the other was last year when I went with my schools marching band to march in the parade at the MK. I gotta say there has been three queue lines that stuck with me and that's EE, Star Tours, and Space Mountain. They all just enhance the experience and during that time you're in line there you just forget about the real world and feel like a true part of the world the ride creates. Also the eerie feeling of Space mountain down that long corridor adds to the excitement.

(oh and also this is my first post on these forums :p)

EE's queue is amazing. It's beautiful, and the atmosphere really makes you feel like you're headed to the Himalayas (not to mention how cool the "Yeti Museum" is in terms of instilling excitement and apprehension ).

Love:
ToT
HM
POTC
Star Tours
Space Mountain

And actually I love Dinosaur. Haha.

You know...I never really thought about it but that queue IS pretty darned good! The final loading room is stupendously themed! Did you know the chemical formulas seen on the red overhead pipes is ketchup and the yellow ones are mustard? A leftover from the original sponsor of the ride McDonalds...I thought it was pretty clever.

My picks by park.

MK - Haunted Mansion - All of the little hidden things on the longer queue adds a nice touch and atmosphere.
Epcot - Mission Space - The Horizons reference and just general space artifacts make it interesting to me.
HWS - Star Tours - Star Wars.... need I say more?
AK - Expedition Everest - I found the lore and nature facts added a nice touch. I found myself reading sections and not noticing the line moved up a bit.... I know I was one of those guys. =D
