I'm not sure I can pick a favorite, to be honest. As I mentioned in another thread, we've hoarded some soaps and shampoos, and those make us very happy when we use them. . . I also really love my set of pins from the Med cruise. . . I also love the champagne glass that we got as a gift from the Dream's inaugural cruise. . . I also love the matching pajamas and boxers that I got on the last cruise for my wife and me. . . OH! I also love the fuzzy socks that I bought in Oslo (they're not really DCL, tho.). . . I also love the Mickey rice crispy treats that come in the Castaway Club package (those never actually make it home as souvenirs, tho). . .

Ok, I just remembered my favorite. On one of our first cruises, when my daughter was probably only 7 or 8, we decorated a kite together in Animator's Palette and then flew it at Castaway Cay. The kite is my favorite souvenir. :)

The kites a great one, Chuck!

We were on the pre-inaugural Dream cruise and they had those champagne glasses at the sailaway party. None of us drink, so we didn't get one. Later we realized we could have kept the glasses and we were kicking ourselves!!

We passed two ladies that were literally hoarding them. They were sitting at a table with at least 20 of them. My friend wanted to go ask if they would give us one, but I was pretty sure those ladies weren't giving any up!

What?! There's souvenirs other than the Disney Cruise Line Dooney & Bourke bags???? Just kidding!

My favorite treasure from our cruise is the autographed photo mat I had done. In case others don't know, when you embark you can take up to 2 items per stateroom to guest services with Sharpies, they'll make a list of what characters you want, and your item(s) will be returned to your stateroom on the last night of the cruise with autographs all over it. I just took an 8x10 photo mat on this cruise. Other things that seem pretty popular are pillow cases and the big 9" solid white Vinylmations. A close 2nd to our autographed photo mat would be the few pictures I bought from Shutters since it was really tough to get us all together in one place to take any pictures during the cruise. Then, of course, there's my DCL Dooney bag & wristlet... LOL!

I seriously wish I'd spent the dough to buy the Animator's dinner plates. It was just a tough pill to swallow thinking I'd spend $259.50 for 10 dinner plates that I still had to find salad plates, bowls, & mugs to compliment. :lookaroun I'd have been much more likely to spend any amount had the rest of the place setting pieces been available, tho. Mickey is soooooo missing out on a gold mine with that stuff. :hammer:

I did not know that, but now that I do, that will be one of the things we'll do on the next trip!!!

We've done the photo mat! It is a great souvenir!

I didn't know they were selling the Animators dishes now! Too bad it's not a whole set!

There were several things in Animators I would have bought. I loved the butter knives!! And the bread basket!! Oh, and the chairs.

Yep, they're selling the dinner plates only for the bargain price of $25.95 each. Tracey wanted me to get 10 then buy solid white, black, & red pieces to complete the place settings. Our Mickey dinnerware we have now is getting pretty worn out. I know I wouldn't be satisfied doing that so I figured I'd hold out to see if they came out with the other place setting pieces.

And the butter knives! Disney knows they're popular! Offer 'em for sale! People who are willing to steal them aren't going to change their mind either way if they know how much they cost. Just freakin' sell 'em to us!!!

When I booked my first cruise I was crazy looking for other sources of info on Disney cruises. Well, I found a great source. Looooots of reading and studying to learn those little gems. The next biggy I want to cash in on is how to do the Atlantis Aquaventure for a couple hundred less than if you book the excursion!

NO!!!!! Well only D&B's that come from Main Street at the Magic Kingdom...I have 3 from WDW and one from the cruise!!!! Love my D&B's :D

I looooove my new DCL sketch bag! Very serious adoration for the thing! I got the bag and a navy background wristlet. Love! I looked while we were at WDW and there just aren't any other Disney Dooneys I want right now. I've got a total of 4 different Disney parks Dooneys and adore them in a big way, too. Such awesomeness! If there had been one of the Harvey's seatbelt bags at WoD and/or Tren-D on our departure day I would've left with one of those, too. DH was beatin' the pavement lookin' for one. :D

If you had just waited for my list of tips, you would have found out then!

I've done Atlantis the cheap way and it was awesome. About $160 compared to more than $600. :)

Yes, but waiting for your list would've required patience. And when you sparked my interest in the Disney cruises I was in Ardmore, Oklahoma. Never heard of that place, huh? There's a reason for that. I had to entertain myself somehow so I spent hours and hours searching, reading, and making mental notes. I explained to Tracey about the Atlantis-on-the-cheap trick a couple days ago and youda thunk I invented the wheel. He was so tickled with me having these little nuggets of knowledge from all my incessant reading. :D

Actually, when I got your tip list I remember reading it carefully and thinking, "I asked her about that...yep...she had to tell me that already...oh yes...I remember when I was worried about that..." It was great! Like having Cliff's Notes for all those emails.....

I'm like you, I couldn't have waited either. I spent hours reading before my first cruise. Actually I still spend hours reading sometimes! And I'm in a city with tons to do!
