Hockey: Sabres
Football: Bills
Baseball: Yankees
I've been trying to get into basketball...it is pretty boring to watch on TV, though (I know, it's ironic, I can watch baseball for hours...any team, too!). Although I'm a Yankees fan, I do follow the Indians (our local AAA team is the affiliate for the Indians), and root for them when they're not playing the Yankees (round 1 last year was tough...but short).
I also have followed the Rays for a few years, and I actually was rooting for them tonight (I would love to see a young, talented, Delmon Young-less Rays team lead the division!) - the first time I have rooted
against the Yankees in a game - ever. I honestly feel they still have to hit rock bottom to truly start a new era....I was hoping Girardi would come in and light a fire under them, and I haven't seen it.
What I'm seeing is still soulless, money baseball, and for the first time, this season, I am finding that I can't look past it (I always understood people's point of view, yet I still loved my team). I definitely feel they need to lose hard and drop the dead weight overpaid and under-performing veterans and start from scratch, IMO. It's hard for me to admit that, but it's how I feel
.
Hey Iakona, my brother lives in Haverhill...I just visited him over Easter - nice town (although it was hard being a Yankees fan in MA
). My brother took me to this great Italian restaurant in the heart of town...the one with the "bread bar," excellent place, but I can't remember the name.
