Thank heavens for FP - we've previously attended during the Easter Break - yes its busy, but we make the most of FP and we, like everyone else also stand in line, watching FP go ahead of us in the final line.
We don't complain - we're just thankful that we're at Disney and having a good time. If FP went it would be miserable.

I feel the same way Mr. Villian,,,

I'm thankful for Disney.

It wouldn't be miserable if FP disappeared...people survived without it in the past.

Some people are just miserable...

Space mountain and Mission Space actually...They are the only two rides I waited for and I remember after the person asked the attendant I sat there and watched and counted and person after person on the fast pass flocked through. Finally we moved and it happened all over again. Same went for mission space. If I recall correctly mission space was something to the ratio or 50 or 60-10ish. Only the Mission space line moved alot faster.

Maybe the rides had broken down earlier that day, and they had a backlog of FP people to get through?

I agree with the backlog theory...

only that they gave out TOO many FPs instead of the "possible" breakdown...

and the popular Universal Emp "pretending" to be a CM....

I love FP.

When we were there in JULY, we were able to get EVERYTHING done we wanted to get done with using FP.

If you know how to use FP properly, you prosper. If not, you wait in line!

Hmm just like George Carlin said: 2004 years and the only thing we can compare things to is sliced bread. Forget flight, space travel, cure for polio. ITS ALL ABOUT THE KNIFE THROUGH A LOAF OF BREAD..

I vote for FP... I love it mann MK routine.... sprint for SM.. FP it and hop on Buzz.. Will be in MK this Fri for wishes and Sat will be in Epcot.

Exactly....the people that complain most about FP are the ones who do not fully understand how to use the system.

Basically, (as has been stated earlier) go to whatever attraction you want to get on first, and get your FP. Then take the time to go through one (or more) attractions until your FP time arrives. (Also note, if your FP is for 11:40am to 12:40pm, you don't have to be there right at 11:40.)
Start the process all over again. You will be amazed how much you can actually do when you use the system properly.

As for the crowds, yeah, they have been bad the past couple of weeks. Parks have been at or close to capacity lately. Lines would be long now whether FP existed or not. FP gives you the ability to be "waiting online" for one attraction, while you enjoy other attractions in the park at the same time (or even eating).

Just look at FP as another great tool to maximize your enjoyement at the parks.

Not exactly rocket science is it?

BTW - remember is the Pressler/Harris era at DLC they thought about removing fastpass because.... (in their eyes) people were doing the park too quickly and not spending enough in the shops or on food. That says it all really!

The only bad thing about Fast Pass is the fact that its taken away from some of the queue areas. It never used to matter that you'd be in line for an hour for an attraction, because you had a lovely elaborate queue area, all with things to look at etc. With Fast Pass becoming more and more, the queue theming is becoming less and less.

The FP distribution ratio is 80:20. 80% FP to 20% standby. Now regarding this...please remember the following.....

1) This ratio is strictly DISTRIBUTION. It does NOT necessitate what the ratio of people coming BACK to the attraction will be. So therefore, ratios of guests premitted into the attraction maybe higher or LOWER depending on FP guest demand....

2) This ratio is adjustable, and on busier times of the year, it has been adjusted to be about 85%:15% to allow for MORE fastpasses to be given out. I don't know if attractions are still doing this or not. So there.

In conclusion....Honestly, I don't care if the line moves or not. Sure, it may be frustrating when the line DOESN'T move for a while, but if the wait time said 45 minutes, and there only 10 people in line in front of me, then I have NO REASON TO COMPLAIN AT ALL if my wait time was shorter than 45 minutes. If it went LONGER than 45 minutes, or whatever the slated wait time was, THEN I have a legitimate reason to complain. If not, suck it up, buy a pretzel and a coke, and strike up a nice conversation with the folks in line with you.

Have a Day.

Fast pass works....you just have to use it! They only give out so many tickets per time slot so que-guests don't have to wait forever. I remember disney before fast pass too,and fast pass is much better,again- only if you use it. CHANT WITH ME- ONLY IF YOU USE IT!!! So don't be afraid, use the FastPass!

Well, the time said 45...but it took 90 minutes or better.

During the 15-20 minutes of standing still...I counted 100 FPers going by....then 100 more...before we even moved.

I never complain and have always waited patiently. That day, it was a little one-sided...

Plus, I have stood in line for Space when it reached out of the doorway and moved faster....

before FP.

and do you know what else....they don't play those FedX commercials in the que....

I DO use FP...

and you then have to wait about an hour ...meanwhile I'm standing in another long line and hoping that I can make it through this ride in time to USE my FP...

I must be doing something wrong...

As I stated before, the FP gives you an hour timeframe to come back. Just because it starts at a particular time, doesn't mean you have to be there right at that time. You can show up anytime during your hour timeframe (and in many cases, if you show up even afterwards, the CMs will still let you on the FP line).

I don't want to start a battle or anything...

but why didn't you get a FP in the first place?

Are these the fp rules........You can get a second fp once the return time for the 1st fp comes, even though you may not have used your first one yet. Then when the 2nd fp return time comes you can get a third and so on.

Not even sure why the whole debate. If you want to take advantage of FP then use it. If not take your chances with stand-by. I mean is it really that difficult to operate a FP machine ? And I hope you don't think you are the first person to get in line for an attraction, restaurant, etc. that stated an incorrect wait time.:hammer: :hammer: :hammer: :hammer: :hammer: :hammer:
