Fastpass Secrets

Anyone know any proven Fastpass secrets or ways to get extra fastpass tickets. BTW if you take in extra tickets you did not use to enter the park, will they work on the machines, or remove a day from the ticket?
Thnx[/quote

Isn't one of them to use the Fastpass even when it passed its time? Once, we were having so much fun at MGM that the Fastpass time for ToT expired. We took it to the Fastpass greeter CM, who let us in. We were plesantly surprised. And we'd use this advantage whenever something unexpected occurs to not use it on time. Especially around Soarin'. Most useful around the post-lunch and evening crowds. :lookaroun

Ok, I have seen stacks of fastpasses selling on eBay.
Yes, that is wrong. Especially since Disney is serious about the date on Fastpasses now. :brick:

Seriously, this is a hot topic around here that always ends with threads being locked and flared tempers. Please let this one get buried!

It probably will.

P.S. Congrats on your Tomorrow's Child! :)
Thank you very much! We're really excited to raise a 2nd generation EPCOT Center lover. :D

Now, lets let this one get buried again into the bowels of the forum so it can be resurrected again in another 8 years. :p

I too must confess to doing this! My son & I do not like RnR, so use our tickets to get extra fastpasses for my husband & daughter. However, after we go off and ride GMR, we do usually buy a snack or souvenir while waiting for the others to finish their "2nd" ride.

I'm guilty of this crime too, my youngest is too small to ride RnR, We still get a fasspass for him and myself. The two of us go for a walk usually to the candy store and get a drink, while the others ride it twice. Like Marcia, I don't think its too bad we do go spend while we are waiting.

I've done this too, but I don't see it as cheating, or anything one must "confess" to or admit being "guilty" of. My wife and I haven't gone yet with kids, but there are some rides she won't ride, so I have used her pass to get an extra fastpass for me so I can ride twice. I don't consider it "cheating" in any way, since each ticket holder is entitled to use of fastpass, so if one ticket holder wants to give their fastpass to someone else, so what? To me, it's no different than accepting a free fastpass from a random guest who has decided that he doesn't want to ride again after all.

As far as using extra tickets from previous visits, I thought of that one, too, but found out it doesn't work. No, it won't erase a day off that other ticket, but it just won't give you a fastpass. That ticket has to have been scanned through the turnstyles before it can be used to get a fastpass. On our last trip, my wife was back in the room taking a nap, and I'm not much for midday naps, so I got the bright idea that I would hop a bus to Epcot (the park we were going to later that evening), go to Soarin' real quick and put each one of our tickets in so as to get our fastpasses for the evening, figuring that by the time we got there, fastpass would be closed out for the day, then go back to the hotel. Then, later, when we went to Epcot, we could just walk up to Soarin at the scheduled time and ride with no problem. Problem is, I totally forgot that the card has to run through the turnstyles first, and I remembered pretty much right as I was going up to the turnstyles.

And for what it's worth, if you get held up somewhere else and arrive at your attraction a little late, I don't see anything wrong with going in anyway, after the time window. If the CMs are willing to let you in, then so what? But that's a subject for another debate, I reckon. :D

I was able to get fast passes for the three big rides at Epcot on New Year's Eve within 30 minutes. The only way I was able to do this was because I never had to put my card in the machine until the last ride. When I arrived at the park that day I went over to Soarin' and there was a line from the fastpass machines to the entrance for Living with the Land. It took about 10 minutes to get to the fast pass machines and they had CMs handing out the fast passes. You just had to tell them how many you needed and show them you ticket and they handed them to you. I left there and went over to Test Track and had the same experience. I then went over to Mission Space and finally had to use my ticket to get a fast pass.

this ain't much of a secret -- nor is it cheating -- but if you're within your return time, you can get another fastpass.

I don't think it's necessarily based on being within your return time. I have been able to get a second fastpass before, before I had even reached the return time on my first fastpass. For example, if it is 10 AM and it's a busy day and I go to Splash Mountain to get a fastpass, and the return time is already backed up to 3 PM. At the bottom of my fastpass, it may tell me that I can get another fastpass at noon or so. I think it's even possible to have 3 fastpasses at the same time, although I don't know if there is any possible way of having more than that or not.

You can get another at the start of the return window on the one you have or two hours after you got the one you have, whichever comes first.

Well, what I saw was a CM would deliver the fast passes to your room that day/meet at downtown Disney. They would be a stack of fast passes for the park of your choice. NO IDEA how they cast members got them. Who knows.

I wouldn't call what we do cheating or even a trick but, When there is a big E ride that my kids wont ride, I use their tickets to get fastpass and my wife and I ride it twice. No big deal, no hassle.

I did the same thing. My wife is not a thrill ride / coaster buff. We got me a FP for ToT with one of the tickets and RnRC with the other. While I was riding those and in line, she went and got us FPs for TSMM.

Wow! Talk about an old thread!

Since I originally posted (8 years ago), I've been able to work up the courage to get on RnR, and my son is old/tall enough (and then some) to ride. So I don't give away my FP anymore.

You would have to use the old tickets through the turn styles to be activated for that day. Otherwise there will be a big black box on your ticket stating that this is not a valid fastpass.
