About 300% in 20 years…if you’re tracking it😎

we agree on most…we won’t here and that’s cool.

Inflation alone would account for at least a third of that -- but I don't really care much about comparing something to what it used to cost, though, because there are so many variables in play.

I think a more valid comparison is to other entertainment offerings in the present, all of which have increased significantly over the past couple of decades. I think the price of an average MLB ticket has more than doubled in the last 20 years too, and that's while baseball's overall popularity has declined.

Of course, I'm talking about the ticket price if every ride wasn't a 60+ minute wait. If you can't actually do much, then it's a different calculation, but lowering the ticket price would probably make that even worse. If a WDW ticket was $40 for the day, the Magic Kingdom might be at full capacity 365 days of the year.

I'm really saying that in a vacuum -- i.e. without factoring in how much you might actually be able to accomplish in a day -- the ticket prices don't seem wildly out of line with other entertainment. My guess is you're looking at them in terms of park capacity and how much you actually get to do just with a ticket, and there's no question they need to add significant capacity.

I said one of, not the worst!

With that said, Dinoland was always supposed to be a temporary and relatively cheap fix until they could build something better (even though it's lasted a long time now). TSL was much more expensive and designed as a permanent addition.
Dinoland was a break the glass thrown up in about 8 months

not something worked on by 4 guys “If it didn’t rain” for 3 years

I see this all the time…all the reasons why it “makes sense”

but you are paying for the second sale of the day on an abbreviated window into a park whose last major innovative addition was in 1992….old rides…much of the food isn’t even an option.

do it…don’t do it…that’s you’re choice. But it’s hard for you to tirade about ripoffs and standards falling as you - quite literally - are feeding the beast.

selling upsells off their failure to expand with their crowds IS the “beast”
Or, you could Feed The Pig, like I've been doing...

Can we not conflate Dinoland, which is actually somewhat well done with Restaurantosaurus and DINOSAUR Countdown to Extinction, with the rushed and embarrassing Chester & Hester's Dino-Rama, which is supposed to be its own thing from Dinoland?

Hmmm...no Fastpasses. That might be enough for me not to return. They need to stop the Park Reservation system and return to Fastpasses. And no, don't charge extra.

I have a hunch that you're not privy to the medical histories of every guest or Cast Member to visit or work at the resort. Age is merely 1 item on a list of risk factors with this virus.
But it is BY FAR the biggest one. Look at the numbers. Then diabetes and heart problems. Which also both heavily skew towards older people.

That’s an unkind way to describe something that some of us are genuinely into.
How about “I” as in “imaginary”. Just the facts.

and everyone here is “into it”…lest they wouldn’t be here. Even if they no longer go/are jaded…they want to.

but you don’t have to go into the fantasy world and check your brain at the door. You can realize the psychology and the tangibility at the same time and live out your life happy.

I can be accused of many things, but thinking uncritically isn't one of them. I just happen to enjoy Disney in a different way from you. If buying into the magic makes me brainless in your eyes, so be it.

Your statements are exactly why Disney keeps gouging, and lowering the deliverables.

I can afford it. I'm checking in to Portofino Bay late tonight. But I don't see Disney as a smart place to spend money at this point. Although I'll admit I'm going to Boo Bash. Mostly because ride lines at Disney are a nightmare now, and I only go for a day or two per trip, so I'd be paying well over $100 a day to go anyway.
Regrettably, You missed the entire point of my my post
