If a paid system does come doesn't mean you have to buy it.

And that circles back again to the heavy crowd weeks. High peak times st Disney. The weeks where no matter what the lines are very long. A 2 choice option of pay per ride or stand in hour or more lines...if you think Disney would not lose families who fit that category you are mistaken. Your solution of not paying and waiting might work for 40 to 45 weeks of the year. Not when people take week long vacations to WDW spring break, Christmas, New Years, Thanksgiving week etc.

You are already paying a premium to be there those weeks, what's a little more to have shorter wait times.

I'm paying a premium to do Disney they way that works for my family. Like I said, sell a package that adds value. Pay per ride adds no value for a large family on the weeks they go. If families by majority went at the end of September and February, your mindset of. Dont buy the rides and wait in line would make more sense.

Free market in that there are not government imposed set prices for items in the economy, not comrade Xi saying all worthy citizens (of sufficient social credit standing) will pay X to be in his parks . BTW Winnie the Pooh is persona non grata due to his unfortunate resemblance to a certain head of state.
Yeah…but good old fashion Merican companies never go anywhere near that sorts a place

It’s not gonna work for any weeks…

somebody posted the wait times up thread…and they don’t have near normal numbers yet…

they can’t control their crowd without crowd management

that’s why it’s called “crowd management”

Guess that means there’s a choice to be made if things don’t go well for ya, huh??

Thst depends how and what the crowd management entails. And that also depends on what you consider normal numbers. If it's a 60 minute max wait on all headliners..FOP, SDD, MMRR, I'm on board. That basically gives a piece of mind...I never have to wait more than an hour for the headliners.

It is utterly disgraceful that they staff a "mininum" for projected demand. When the park opens big thunder should be working both sides...thats what it is. It should be a fixed cost. But god forbid some people dont wait in line.
I think that’s why they serve comparatively little breakfast offerings in the parks…and why they don’t fully open the rides.

it’s going through the motions…there’s no profit in 8 am

They want my money right? Make it a worthy investment.

"Worthy" (*almost*no matter what we're referencing) and current management are like oil and water.
I hate to tell you…but it’s not been “worthy” for some time as they’ve really increased prices.
And accepting them (all of us)…says “no boundaries”…so it keeps going

Canobie Lake Park does that...daily opening at 10am (if memory serves), but there's literally nothing open or operating at that point. As in good luck even finding a cup of coffee or pretzel or donut.

That Disney does this is absolutely shameful...there's almost always a crowd waiting to get in.

I would pay $1000 to have unlimited front line access for me, my wife and 3 kids. Any and all rides any time of day for a week. To me that's value.
$1000 for a family of 4 for a week would be a good value.

Let's do the math:

$1000 / 4 = $250 per person

$250 / 7 = $35 per person per day

Now let's look at what this would cost you at Universal for next week since, unlike Universal, Disney almost certainly is not going to include this in the price of a Deluxe Resort stay.

$255.59 (with tax) X 4 X 7 = $7156.52

The question is: Would you consider $7156.52 to be a good value?

(And that's the price for only 1 park per day.)

Remember, what's being offered at DLP costs about $10-$20 per person per attraction. That's not the "unlimited front line access" you mention in your post. That simply let's you get an express comeback time (i.e. a FastPass return time) for potentially hours from now. Your family of 4 could drop hundreds of dollars each day on nothing more than FastPass return times, something that Disney used to include in the price of admission (i.e. something that used to be "free").

While I agree with most of this, it was NOT 80/20. Come on now lol. Did they let more people with FP on before stand by? Yes. But it was not 80/20. If they limit them, there is a realistic possibility they could remain free to some people.

For the rides that you would need a fast pass for, roughly 75% of the rides hourly capacity was alloted to fast passes.

There would still be plenty.
Disney is no where near the upward ceiling of what their fans are willing to pay for hotel stays and park tickets.
For now there is. The question right this minute is how much feeling like an ATM are guests willing to stand? I don't think that limit is nearly as high as the execs think it is.

Don’t forget to add roughly $2800 for your initial park tickets for your family of 4🤣😂
