But it also sounds like the Disney thing to do LOLMaking a confusing fastpass/dining system, which is what this sounds like, may be worse than a simple expensive one

What are they saying would be the primary benefits?
With other rides fast passed - say EE and the Safari at Animal Kingdom, a person could then wait on a line for FoP.I wish I lived in this world where everyone got fast passes to the popular rides and everything was peaches and cream. I never saw a fast pass to either 7DMT or FoP and that's with having the 60 day benefit.
It gives me joy that you’re laughing at this. Gives me hope!
You're right, I was too absolute in my phraseology. There are some circumstances when AF has to convoy... like when they don't have runways where they're going to or from. I hope you enjoyed your tour at F.E. Warren. And Navy yards have boats. What's your point? The statement was the Air Force doesn't convoy. The fact is, they do.
It's kind of hard to not be condescending when you get so incredibly specific in what you're hearing from one person who heard from another person. Comments like yours have already been shared across other forums as if Bob Chapek himself wrote the post and people are going absolutely insane over it. There's another member of this board and another forum that has a fairly accurate track record who is saying something completely different than this. And I'm still not even putting my faith behind that. You'll have to forgive the majority of us that don't buy this very specific rumor from you. You're right. I don't have to listen to it. This proposal you posted is absolutely insane. Disney makes a lot of stupid decisions but I seriously doubt the one you posted is one of them. The thing is, absolutely no one knows what's going to happen at this point. Not me, not you, not your peeps, no one.Like I mentioned the peeps I'm hearing from multiple peeps: if you don't want to listen that's cool. Don't be condescending.
Oh my god. I didn't.You're right, I was too absolute in my phraseology. There are some circumstances when AF has to convoy... like when they don't have runways where they're going to or from. I hope you enjoyed your tour at F.E. Warren.
My point is that MacDill AF units don't have any place to convoy to in Florida.
A lot of us have maintained the quality of the food and selections have dropped with the proliferation of the dining plan. Nice to see you agree. If Disney gives a sit down token a value of $50, and there is a meal of $60 they are losing $10 per token. So to compensate that Disney increases the price to those not on the DDP, when food prices increase more of the costs are positioned on the guests not on the plan or Disney orders inferior products to reduce the costs to maintain the same profit margins.
I know. Nobody does.Oh my god. I didn't.

Wonder what the cost will be for each option and how it will mix and match package style.Firstly we really have to move away from the word FastPass as it won't be called that once everything is done.
People also have to realise that the Paris to the American parks version won't be a direct 1-2-1, heard some stuff from some peeps I trust so will share - N.B. some of nuances are still being tossed about internally:
P.S. UK visitors get ready for another round of ticket changes to reflect the new front of line access passes and to include seasonal pricing.
- All three resorts will allow pay for individual FP per person per attraction
- WDW and DL will have plans think 'old' DDP: Counter Service, Regular and Deluxe, however I'm told these will be ticket add-ons
- Individual and plans will have seasonal pricing
- Attractions will be divided into 3 categories: Classics, Headliner, Super Headliner
- Examples: Classics think PPF, Headliner think BTMR, Super Headliner think FoP.
- With the plans when you run out of your credits you can buy MORE!
- Current internal debate around redeeming credits. i.e. do two Classic credits redeemed get you a Headliner and do two Headliner credits redeemed get you a Super Headliner.
- Another is how many are you given and do you get them all up front or do none tokens used get stacked on to the next day.
P.S.S I've been told DDP when it comes back will be undergoing similar changes:
- Either with DDP tokens at sit down dining and signature it would go to a prix fixe menu at all locations and remain the same policies as was in place previously for counter service and snacks
- Or they give out a credit amount so if a plan is worth $60 per day it shows on your MDE as $60, to suitably force users from the higher priced options. I'm told from multiple F+B managers either of the plans would be a god send
Do we know that though? What's to say that the program wouldn't be called DPA or Access+ and the tangible thing you buy are still fastpasses? For the time being, it's what we have to go by as this is the name everyone knows for 20 years. I think it would be dumb for them to rename line skips to something other than fastpass now that it's so ingrained in our memories. Fastpass is as well known as Mickey Bars. It's not some fringe thing like dumping the name of Slave I in the Mandalorian.Firstly we really have to move away from the word FastPass as it won't be called that once everything is done.

No. We don't know it. None of us do at this point. It very well could come back as FastPass.Do we know that though? I both completely understand moving away from the FP name as it is known as a free thing so it’s a good time to rebrand/re-set expectations, but also @pdude81 is right, the name is iconic.Well Paris has dumped the Fastpass name, I would assume it would be DPA but don't know how that will test in English speaking markets.
I don't understand why they wouldn't just make it simple that each plan comes with "X" number of "access credits" or whatever trademark they come up with and then different attractions cost a different number of credits. Why confuse people with naming and categorizing the attractions?Firstly we really have to move away from the word FastPass as it won't be called that once everything is done.

The next positive thing you say will be your first.Fortunately - you can count on the worthiness of a fool.com article on Disney parks before you even click on them... as in zero.
Would be simpler but I’m guessing they like the Value, Regular, Deluxe monikers.I don't understand why they wouldn't just make it simple that each plan comes with "X" number of "access credits" or whatever trademark they come up with and then different attractions cost a different number of credits.
