I'm not saying there should be thrill rides.

But one more ride would have been very welcome.

I agree. A BATB dark ride would've been a great complement to the Be Our Guest resteraunt.

or Mary Poppins dark ride would be amazing. You could be on a caroussel horse....

It would be amazing. I've had that idea in the back of my head for a while now. But Disney would never do somthing so ambitious these days. :brick:

I think Mary fit quite well in. Glad she got some attention in Magical, but she deserves more!

lol, you seem to be one of the very few who don't like this. I guess you don't appreciate great scenery either?

Walls for the next four years aren't great scenery  but I don't doubt it'll be beautiful when completed. Just personally Fantasyland doesn't do anything for me, never really has...oh well though maybe it'll take some crowds away from other places :sohappy:

It took a while, but it's nice to see we've all gotten back to the, "it's not good enough" mentality.

Why can't anyone just wait? Why are there already broad declarations of what this expansion has and doesn't have? We have a press release and some artwork and some are decrying this as having nothing of interest for them.

Perhaps we should all wait until we experience the area for ourselves before deciding that Disney only had one demographic in mind?

What if TLM has half the ride devoted to Eric? What if you get to suit up as a knight in the Cinderella area? There are just too many questions right now.

Heading for the great escape.
Must be quite a girly knight from the way folks are talking about the focus of this area. :p

Guess so

I just worry that families with kids over the age of 7 won't find much to do past Mermaid and the restaurants.
Could be, but very few attractions appeal to all demographics. Thrill riders had their turn a few years ago with Everest. Not to mention the ongoing Space Mountain upgrade.

I completely agree. And I like the expansion. I just worry that families with kids over the age of 7 won't find much to do past Mermaid and the restaurants.
I am a 16 year old male, turning 17 next month, and I can pick out plenty that i'm interested in. I am someone who loves sports and doing guy stuff, but there still is stuff hear that appeals to me. I always love doing the rides, so TLM will be something that I will no doubt love to ride, especially since it will be a people eater and probably never have too long of a line. The Be our guest restaurant/Gastons Tavern is MUCH, MUCH needed. There hasn'd been a addition of a sit down restaurant in forever at MK and if they have the living characters like Remy, it will make it that much better. Also, while princesses aren't my favorite disney character, I love that they will each get their own home and how amazing the theming for each area is. I also believe these areas to be much more than the average M&G's. Being someone who has a little sister, this whole area, plus pixie hollow will be great for her. Also I am loving the Dumbo idea. I hardly ever ride dumbo because of the lines and it doesn't look appealing to me for some reason. In that circusy atmosphere it seems more grand and i'm loving the queue idea. All in all I love the expansion.

Here is where I think the "FL makeover is very narrowly targeted" argument fails. Fantasyland is not losing any attractions and nobody made the complaint before. The original FL will still be there. I really believe that this is the only complaint the doomers could come up with. An extremely weak argument. Extremely weak.

:snore:

It will be the World Showcase model in many respects. Very awesome! :)

Thanks for this, JT04. I've been saying the same thing here, to the wall,
apparently.

From my post, #824:

When I look at the New Fantasyland, I see Epcot's World Showcase. In a different world.
