Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but any help would be greatly appreciated. I have tried booking the new package online, and it says there are no rooms available for Jan 4-10/11 at POP. It will allow booking through the regular means, but if I try to get the special offer it says there are no rooms left. Could all the package rooms at POP seriously have been sold out in 36 minutes??

They may have only had a few rooms left for the special rate at that resort. I changed my dates to the end of January and POP was available

Just a note about booking trips over January 10 & 11....that is the weekend of the Disney Marathon. I know it isn't blacked out per se, but I have to believe that it will be virtually impossible to get the deal over that weekend. I'd look at changing my dates. Good luck.

We are going to WDW at the end of April (thus not eligible for the $200 gift card) and since we are passholders, we're going to wait for AP rates. Even with a 7 night stay, I think we can do better with AP room only. :shrug:

I'm able to get the 4th through the tenth. Unfortunately it's the same price to go one extra day, but they don't have availability at POP, only at AS, which I don't really want to go to. I understand they are extremely similar, but I really liked the fact POP had it's own buses, and seems a bit closer to the parks.

Is it possible to book a single night at POP at a AAA rate for say the 3rd, and not have to switch rooms or anything? Or will I have to check in twice and check out twice because it's two separate reservations? Though I suppose that would cost more.

Hey there, There isa POSSIBILITY that you would have to move rooms, you would DEFINITELY have to check out and back in though as it is two separate reservations.

I booked at Sports for $523 for 7 nights with the $200 gift card. I am driving my rental car to the parks (park for free and admission included with AP). This is the most outstanding promotion ever. I do not too much like Sports but for this price - I do not mind.

The hotel and park ticket are two separate parts of a package reservation. They are in no way connected, other than you need both to have a package. The number of hotel nights and number of days on your ticket are not connected in any way.

Essentially, a 4, 5, 6 or 7-night stay should all be the same price. With that, you need to purchase a ticket. Again, the 4, 5, 6 or 7-day tickets will all be the same price.

But, if you already have a ticket to use during the trip, such as an Annual Pass, you can book a 1-day ticket (you wouldn't get any free ticket days that way), use your AP for admission during the trip, and then save the 1-day ticket for use on a future vacation.

This is essentially the same "trick" that AP-holders use to get the Free Dining promotion. They book the special package offer, and only get a 1-day base ticket to fulfill the ticket requirement of the package.

As for which is better, this or an AP rate, I don't know. Are AP rates typically 43% off? I'm not sure I've ever seen that.
