50th Cavalcade operates independently of FoF cast wise.
Unfortunately with FoF running twice a day as the priority you won’t see MiSi come back as the staffing simply doesn’t exist especially driverwise.
And ops doesn’t want something like MiSi back, the cavalcades are much easier for them to handle guest flow wise than street party.
4/5 of floats for Mousekedance It! have since been either repainted or repurposed.

I should’ve explained more 😅

The current Mickey & Friends Calvacade (in my mind) would just operate with the old theme song alongside whatever costumes they can throw together.

I just think they would keep the Mickey & Co Calvacade as guests seem to enjoy them a lot, and since Mouskedance was the last one I mentioned that one.

Very interested to see what happens with the Tokyo Dreaming Up floats. I think every Disney resort is due for a new daytime parade, with the exception of Disneyland. One of the questions is, does any resort have the budget for a new or newish parade.

It's a while away but Disneyland Paris is 95% guaranteed a new parade for 2027 so I am sure they have their eyes on at least some of them.

MK is not done with day parades. They run FoF along with two different calvacades.

PTN is very expensive to run and is the main reason why it doesn’t run regularly at DL. Aside from cost, the ops/logistical nightmare of a nighttime parade @ MK has been the rumored main reason as to why they haven’t brought a new one inch ye

Ah yes, the “ops logistical nightmare” that worked fine for 40 years.

As long as the first parade runs toward the Castle to fill the hub before fireworks and the last one runs to Main Street, crowd flow is manageable. Spectro did this well. MSEP just couldn’t for other logistical reasons.

Spectro ran from main street to castle hub both performances. So did MSEP.

You know that park attendance dramatically increasd during that time, right?
And is "allegedly" restricted now to make it more manageable. AND the capacity of the park has not changed since 2016 till Tron. They were doing just fine managing a night parade and fireworks. The primary issue at hand was designing a fireworks show that was hub-centric to get the full effect, thus creating greater crowd issues in the hub as people lined up 2 hours before. But regardless, the second MSEP was nearly always a ghost town.

"Logistical nightmare" is an excuse. And while MK and DL are similar in size, their parade routes are not. MK has a longer route with more viewing, especially since they use the long side of their hub for the route.

The new and lower cap really isn't that low. On 3 day weekends in which all the reservations are taken, the park is still pretty crowded. The reservation-delimited cap is to keep the park from being crazy-crowded.

And you can't have it both ways: You can't argue that the park is "allegedly" restricted implying there is no real restrictions and thus, the argument that the park is too crowded for a parade and fireworks stands. And then at the same time imply that the restrictions are really restrictive, and thus, they should have a parade and fireworks.

Also, pre-castle-projections, people still mainly used the hub to watch the fireworks. The fireworks showes were created from that point of view. I've been there before the projections when the only space in the hub and Main Street were open pathways in which your only direction was to leave the park as CMs shooed you along.

It's great if you've been to MK when it wasn't that crowded. But I have. And it is an operational nightmare. I've experienced it.

They still do parades & fireworks on a similar nighttime parade timetable for Halloween & Christmas seasons crowded or not. The deterrent seems to be operation cost more than operation nightmare due to crowds.

But those party nights have a lower attendance cap which makes that manageable. On a sold out party night, just 10 minutes before the fireworks, I can find lots of open spaces in the middle of the hub.

The non-party-nights in the holiday season can have twice as many people in the MK than on a party night.

Maybe this doesn’t mean anything but Disney promoted a post about FOF today. Could this mean it’ll go back to a full cast? Probably not but it’s interesting that they’re highlighting this today.

Seems like NatGeo is doing a documentary at WDW and sharing some of their current photos.

That green was for the 50th? If that’s what they’re doing then good riddance it looked way better before with the flowers

That was a guess??? IDK why the Opening Float got the Green over COVID anyway??..........

Would be nice If FOF got renewed(as in Full Cast)on April 3rd...........

I find it a little shocking that MK isn't keeping Mickey's Cavalcade going is some form after the 50th? Granted, we have a full week before the 50th ends but still.......
