For all we know, it happened more frequently in the past than any of us were aware of. I don't feel like there was as big of a culture documenting this stuff on video even five years ago.But this frequently? I have to think it is staffing issues. I swear every other live I come across has a stuntless show.
Of course, there are a lot of very real pandemic-related issues that aren't helping Fantasmic run flawlessly, but honestly, right now in this thread it really does feel like some people are literally watching YouTubers watch Fantasmic every night so that they can complain about this fountain or that not working. Now every mishap is caught on tape and broadcast to an audience eager to nitpick in a way that didn't used to be as as omnipresent, even in the fairly recent past.
Maybe it's not actually that much worse than it used to be, but we're just more aware of it because of how much everything is overly documented now. It's hard to tell.
