You're making it sound like Disney is forcing people to be there and watch the shows- everyone there chose to be there because it's fun.

And I've never once thought of starting a shoving match because someone tripped. Are you sure it isn't your fuse that's quite short? It sounds like you're projecting your own feelings on those around you, which in turn changes how you perceive the situation. If watching the fireworks, or being at the park at night, isn't something you enjoy doing- for whatever reason- then the easiest solution is to not be there for that.

Disney is forcing people into possibly unsafe crowd control issues. People should be able to trust that Disney knows how to run a theme park effectively and the madness that occurs when they over schedule nighttime activities in the same vicinity doesn't run like the world's leader in theme park entertainment should.

As for trying to turn this onto me. Wow, you presume to know me? I'm simply reporting what I've personally seen and what CMs have to go through on a regular basis. These instances do occur and by witnessing them, it doesn't somehow color you a similar personality.

And, as I have already stated, I don't visit Disneyland at that time due to this poor situation.

Don't treat people like cattle and they behave like them far less. Shove too many people in a small space, tire them out, and then tell them they can't leave, and people's fuses get quite short. A simple trip and stumble can set someone off and then a shoving match occurs. Its an ugly situation Disney has created and the poor CMs get the brunt of it.

Disneyland does a great job of crowd control and manages it quite aggressively. I think you are playing a bit of woe is me and chicken little. Disney isn't stuffing anyone in there -that's people doing it.

The issues of being forced to go in a certain direction isn't something to pop a vessel over

I agree that Disney generally does a great job with crowd control. As for people being stuffed in, it is Disney's job to anticipate common crowd behaviors and to help ease them. Having your entrance/exit blocked isn't smart planning.

The issue of being forced in a certain direction isn't a big issue for me. For others, they do react as it is. When your're a tourist pulling a 12 hour day trying to get your crying kid to Splash for their Fastpass and you are routed in the complete opposite direction, sometimes people have a short fuse. I'm not saying they're entitled to throw a fit and abuse guests or CMs physically or verbally, but Disney should better their guest experience as the park does become frustrating to move through at those times. I think we can all agree on that. If you can alleviate frustration easily, they should do so.

DL handled it from 1992-1996(in 1996 there might have been more people on MS USA than for F! for MSEP's Final Season!)Granted there was no pyro spectacular, just Fantasy In The Sky.

For the 60th, somehow DL did it with 3 spectaculars.

I know that they have done it but I also know how people are now a days with new shows lol and from the sounds of it F! is going to be even more popular than it already was.

If an emergency happens... there are other travel routes. And as for the people who you agree aren't in a reasonable state... yet you've gone on this entire tangent how the house of cards is about to fall because of them... screw them. The people that desired to be marginalized can be.

A sudden panic doesn't give time for emergency routes to be be opened. Response time can take up to a minute and in high density crowds with children, that's plenty of time for injuries to occur. Screw the people who are unreasonable? Sure, but they don't exist in a bubble. I saw a person shoved and the shovee fell into an old couple and one fell. The shovee did nothing wrong nor did the older couple, but because of Disney's poor crowd control, two people potentially became injured. Luckily the gentleman was level headed and didn't retaliate physically. The kids knocked down, they were "screwed." They didn't desire to be knocked down. They were asleep in a stroller. It's easy to dismiss people as jerks, but if Disney is turning up the heat on them, then they too share the responsibility for harmed guests.

Its like if a CM sees a guest being unsafe on a ride and does nothing. Its easy to say "if the guest gets hurt, it's their own fault" until their unsafe actions cause others to be harmed as well. Then the CM/Disney is responsible for not enforcing safe conditions.

Anyways, this is going nowhere. People love to be apologists and would rather attack criticism than recognize a problem because problems mean solutions and solutions mean change. I understand people like the fireworks in front of the castle, but I simply stated Disney has outgrown that and needs to look into relocating these nighttime spectaculars due to their park layout.

Well, today I learned that when trying to leave the park after viewing a fireworks spectacular, Disneyland guests operate under the same moral code seen in a zombie apocalypse. This is obviously a serious issue that Disney has to address for the safety of their visitors.

Can we stop with all the passive aggressive comments? God forbid someone voice a mild concern based upon personal observations.

Did we become MiceChat somehow?

I've seen violent pushing and shoving about 60% of the time and I've seen it escalate probably about 10 times. The worst is when strollers with sleeping kids get pushed over and the kids take a spill. Then mama bear comes out and begins pushing people over. Saw that a few times near Frontierland as people were trying to swim upstream.

I straight up don't buy this. Hundreds of visits and I've never once seen an actual altercation. I've never actually seen a stroller knocked over with a child in it either. Not on grad nights, xmas, tgiving week, after fireworks or parades.....absolutely never. The two accidents I have witnessed were 100% guest fault and neither had anything to do with crowds.

Aggravated, frustrated, short-tempered people sure, but violent interactions 60% of the time - nope, not buying it. #fakenews

I agree. It just doesn't happen and no where near that level. I've been hundreds of times too and never saw anyone get violent over leaving the park. I'm sure people feel like being violent or have short tempers after a day of Disneyland but most well balanced people can control themselves. If someone did start a fight, I'm sure Disney Security was on them really fast and showed them the Unhappiest Place on Earth before anything got out of hand.
